    Evening Shave for Tomorrow
Fresh off the Apache stones, this Wostenholm 'IXL' was a very smooth shaver. Quite a different feel from the larger, full-hollow razors I've used the previous two shaves—quiet, easy to navigate, firm and smooth. Very impressed with this 'slightly smiley' little razor. I've been using the Valobra soft 'menthol 'soap the past 3-4 shaves as the lather is quite slick—although the menthol bite is definitely lacking. I add some TSD bomb to 'spice it up' a bit.
    Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Phil, the Manchurian knot as advertised as 26mm, but feels much larger. Actually, I believe it is more like 27-27.5mm and I have to state that his might just be the nicest hair I have tried and that I have. When the proprietor sourced this hair, he told me it was from the same supplier that Simpsons gets their Manchurian hair, except that this hair isn't bleached as long.
It is superb hair and for the introductory price that he was selling them at, it was a virtual steal compared to what Simpsons is commanding for theirs!!
I had to pick up a few as they were just that good! :lyrtuy5:

Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable on 7
    Blade: Voshkod
    Brush: Plisson
    Soap: Soap Commander Vision
Post: Home-mix aftershave (with some of The Rub mixed in). Oh and that weird looking clump in the aftershave is some shea butter I threw in there that hasn't dissolved yet. For now it just looks thoroughly unappealing.
This was an inaugural shave for both the Plisson and Soap Commander. I was lucky enough to pick these up from someone in town, and used them pronto. SC Vision has a scent that's great to me, think lily-pads on cool water. Minty and fresh, with a little bit of light herbal/sweetness and a mild cooling. The plisson worked quite well also, a lot like my Muhle HJM but a little less backbone and more diameter (22mm vs 19mm) which I liked. Won't comment on other aspects of Soap Commander's performance until after I've got another couple shaves in, but so far I like it.

George Wostenholm & Sons Pipe Razor, 5/8 Half Hollow, Square Point

As a collector and historian of pogonotomy, I love shaving with old straight razors and I like to revive important pages of history, adding art to the pleasure of shaving. Wostenholm certainly is one of the most important straight razor makers of the past, with a glorious history to tell, its razors are still capable of giving a superb shave no matter of a long time has padded by. Just perfect and agile, this bow razor is still doing an excellent job.
    • Pre-Shave: Myrsol Emulsión
    • Soap: DR K Peppermint Shaving Soap
    • Brush: Plisson Badger

Superb results with Siefenglatt and der Vorschlaghammer! I love the scent and the performance is nearly optimal. Montpellier has a creamy grapefruit note, and lathers almost instantly. Maggard's London Barbershop aftershave made a nice compliment and left my skin feeling great.
I wonder why Siefenglatt soaps don't get more attention.

Really chased the baby today for some unknown reason. Caught that sucker, too! But I got carried away, overzealous, whatever you want to call it. My face is smooth as a baby's butt. Unfortunately, the baby's butt is missing the first layer of skin. My face looks good, no blood, no weepers, no nicks, but it's killing me. Ah, live and learn.

Update: 10:00 pm and my face still aches. No redness, just feels like crap. When will I learn?
