LOVE that razor...then again I do have a thing for a but odd razors.
How does it shave?

And how did you like the veg seeing that it's your first day with it?

Funny, can it be that The Veg is becoming as common in SOTDs these days as the L'Occitane Plisson brush?

Can it be that the Veg plan to take over the world is gaining ground?

Can it be that I need some coffee this morning?

 

Im on the west coast, so it's still early. My wife did decide she likes it, so it looks like the population of "Veg" Town has increased by one....

today's shave was ok. Nice close shave n'all, but they just seem more comfy if I shave( hot water wash) before a shower. idky. finished with clubman musk.

I am also starting to like the look. At first, I didn't, but now, it is starting to appeal to me and it is really improving the shaves with most of my stainless steel razor heads for some reason.
The machinist uses aluminum to see how the razors will look before using the stainless steel. I was fortunate that he had a surplus one!

 

So is it now mass produced in stainless steel?

 

Saturday's shave

I needed to wake up so went with a menthol shave. A lovely shave with the Pils/Sputnik combination.

Pre shave - Proraso Green Pre shave
Razor - Pils DE
Brush - L'occitane Plisson Synthetic
Lather - Proraso Green
Aftershave - Proraso Green Pre shave & Williams ice blue.

 

It is shaving pretty good. I want to get it shaving great, and that is why I want to try the 30 day test.

 

Looking forward to hearing how that pans out.

The biggest problem I have with putting Speick as my default Saturday cream/soap is that Saturdays are generally the ones when I'm least motivated to shave. As a result, it gets skipped more than it deserves. I remembered to reach for it today; unfortunately, I forgot that the blade in my 41c was on life support yesterday. Excellent lather whipped up, even with my cheap boar, but it couldn't save the shave from tugging too much. Two bloodless passes, and I was done, with DFS results. The Speick aftershave made much of the tugging's irritation go away. I really want to like the leather scent of the Ispazon sample, but it has enough of a patchouli note that I'm glad it's just a sample.

 

SOTD. Back to the good stuff today...
