I use my 39c as the go to razor. So far the voskhod seems to be my favorite pairing. Personna red does well too. Great razor.

Actually the 37c has the handle of the 34c Heavy Duty and the head of the 39c Sledgehammer. So it is technically a Heavy Duty Slant.

I have now learned from using different blades the comment above depends on the blade in use. With a feather I have to be very careful, today I used a blue Persona and found as long as the blade was cutting the angle was not really critical for comfort.

I used to have to be careful with Feather, but now it doesn't matter. It is all automatic. Feather for me is sharper but does not last as long. At some point I will post my microscope photos.

Yeah, but the name "heavy duty slant" isn't as fun as "Sledgehammer".

Mentioned to the better half that I wanted one of these. She said "Go ahead.". But I sensed "that tone" in her voice, so I'll wait a bit.

Maybe get her a present and then say "I was going to buy that razor then I decided to spend the money on you instead."
After that you can happily buy what you want...If she doesn't buy it for you first.

Now that I have had time to improve my technique I can't put this razor away and use something else. I'm getting amazing shaves.

Oh man you are not making things easier. Glad you're enjoying the razor. Your gain, my pain.

I am honest with my wife too. I find I still get my toys without confrontation. Sometimes it just takes a little longer.

So I have withdrawn my last post and decided I won't let this go. I have to figure out a blade to use and get shaving with this razor constantly. I may have to put it down for a while.

Now that explains why I can't make you an offer of $2 or $3. :happy097:
