Wow, March is almost here and soon the transition into spring will begin. (Hopefully!) Here's my shaving plan for tomorrow. Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new SuperMax Blue Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Anherb AS Conditioner Osage Rub AS Fahrenheit EdT If this set-up doesn't freeze a man's face off, then I give up. The Neutrogena face wash is so cold, especially if you wait a minute or two and the Glacial Obsidian soap is not only cold, it's downright frigid to the point where it feels like liquid nitrogen on your face, and the Anherb conditioner keeps that chilliness going with great soothing. Finally, the Rubby Dubby Doo hits you with its own special bone-chilling iciness. What a shave this is going to be!

Harris Almond cream One pass plus touch-ups Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter I'm wrapping up my last week with the Feather Artist Club razor. I reached my goal this month of achieving close and comfortable shaves with this razor. I look forward to using my Merkur 37C Slant Bar razor and a boar brush for March. I purchased the brush about 20 years ago at the local Walmart, and I've used it a handful of times with a cart. Truthfully, I won't miss the Artist Club razor too much, but I will definitely miss my two-band silvertip brush. May your coffee be strong and your Monday be short.

Evening Shave for Tomorrow Smooth & chilly 3-pass shave tonight—cold water shave plus menthol—which I do find invigorating. This is my 3rd shave with this British-made Kropp & each one has been quite pleasant. Busy day tomorrow for me…have a great Monday, all!
Kevin, I was initially going to use a year old Valobra Menthol brick that still new in box but upon opening the box and wrapper it had zero menthol aroma to it and actually smells unscented. Does your VM have any menthol?

Guy, honestly I cant detect any menthol in the Valobra Menthol. I wind up adding a drop or 5 of the TSD M-Bomb just to get the menthol kick. I love the slickness and the ease of lather of the Valobra, but the menthol WHAM! is definitely lacking.
Thanks for the confirmation. I really like almond scent and as you stated easy to lather. Ended up giving mine to my daughter's boyfriend.

Like it! Not sure what has changed cuz I didn't use to get good shaves out of a SE stainless blade. Not commplaining though.

I think the menthol in the Valobra soap is just for the scent. Me too, I really don't feel any cooling from it to speak of.
