26/2 Prep: Cold water rinse Brush: SOC Boar Soap: ARKO (Soap of the gods) Razor: EJ DE89 Blade: GSB (1) Post: Alum + Nivea sensitive balm Remarks; I don't really care for the SOC. It has to much splay and don't release the lather. The lather is good doe. First shave with the GSB since I switched to CWS, and what a wonderful blade! It was a good blade when i tried it hot water shaving but now, wow. This blade is so much smoother than the Yellow and equal in sharpness. My favorite blade so far. No sting from the Alum and a super smooth post shave feeling. And as always "don't race it is your face".
2-26-15 Prep: Simple face wash with warm water and soap. Razor: iKon 102 Slant w/bamboo handle. (first time using) Soap: Arko stick (of coarse) Brush: VDH boar Blade: Astra SP (2) Post: Warm water rinse off for soap and cold water splashes after. After Shave: Tried out the AOS Lavender ASB for the first time. Did a three pass shave and still felt like there was more stubble left than there should be so quite a bit of touchup. Razor might be too mild for my liking and it took more time but no nicks or irritation and to me I only ended up with a CCS, not DFS like I normally get and like! Thx.
Friday's Nivea Men's Face Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Schick Krona Personna Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla This Mitchell's Wool Fat is a replacement puck I got in a recent trade. I had traded my original MWF for this Schick Krona. Now the shave: the MWF Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Brush. Two passes with my Schick Krona and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
•Gillette Lady •Astra Superior Platinum •VDH Really good shave. Astras, like a lot of modern stainless, always hit me as a tad rough on the first shave but usually smooth out to butter on the 2nd. Had a few almost-weepers so I followed up with Lucky Tiger, then later with a mix of 80% Avon Island Lime and 20% Superior 70.
Thanks! I actually purchased it that way. It is a heavier handle and I thought the same as you. This could be a razor that was fixed because it had a cracked handle or it could be one of Gillette's many razors in which they used up left over parts from previous runs. I don't know for sure but I do like it and was excited about securing a 15 mm base plate deluxe to go with my 17 mm.

Very strange. The pic I loaded looked fine from my iPad where I loaded it but looked upside down on my iPhone. I deleted it and added a freshly edited version. All is well. Could be the FCC starting to regulate the web. You know how well the government manages things.
