Stirling Bay Rum today. 30 seconds to load the Omega boar brush. Always a great, easy, thick, lather. Viking’s Sword in the Slim. Nice smooth, close, shave. I finished with Krampert’s Bay Rum.

    2/27/2015 Race inspired shave

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette 1940s Super Speed, Hamburg Concave Quick Cutter straight razor
    Blade: Racer (1)
    Brush: Col Conk pure badger
    Soap: Barbon
After: Home made ASB, Barbon after shave
    Cologne: Cuir Cannage

"I am speed", that is what Lightning McQueen says in the movie. The Col Conk brush whipped the Barbon cream into a good lather. The Quick Cutter and the SS paired with the racer blade did a fine job on the stubble. The Barbon AS brought a little chill and the Cuir Cannage will have me smelling great all day. All in all a 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning.

    Have a blesses day!

Great 3 pass shave for this mornings shave. Planning on finishing up with the Goose tomorrow and then using some of my different razors next month. I have really enjoyed the Goose over the past 2 months and it will continue to be one of my go to razors. Have a great weekend.

    Fougere Friday
I used a silvertip badger for the first time, and it's interesting. I'm used to the much bigger knot on my HIS synthetic, so that is one difference. Another is the combination of density and soft tips. I like it, but I need to use it more to really make a decision. Do silver tips bloom with use?
The shave was solid and my face feels smooth. I tried Latha AS, but I don't think it matched well.
    Prep: Kiehl's face wash
    Soap: B&M Fougere Imperiale
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Silvertip Prototype

Face-lathering is incredible, but I would never be able to get away with one, two or even three passes with my coarse beard!!! I have to include quite a few touch-ups, as well! Doesn't that mean you only get to face-lather only once!!!!!!!!:lyrtuy5:

    Fridays shave

The stealth slant took away 2 days of stubble with ease. But the Vokshod blade was a bit uncomfortable for the second shave in a row. Maybe it's just a dodgy blade.
Need to experiment with the Trumpers lather too get the right slickness but I did like it.

Today was a nice 3 pass shave. I only did three passes because I liked the lather so much. I could have easily gotten away with 2 passes.

    Pre - Corn Huskers
    Soap - RR XXX
    Brush - WD silvertip 24/50
    Razor - 66 Slim Adj (8,6,4)
    Blade - Lord Platinum (1)
    AS - Florida Water

Tried a new blade and although provided good results, extreme amount of tugging and not the most comfortable shave in the adjustable. Will shelve the blade to try in other razors once Feb Focus is complete.

    Soap: Mike's Natural unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 HIS synthetic
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Super Iridium
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

I can depend on Mike's soap for excellent performance. During my second pass, the razor was gliding so effortlessly that I had to verify that I had the correct angle. Sure enough, the blade was taking down whiskers, I just didn't feel it! I had a outstanding shave experience going until I was careless and over enthusiastic and gave myself a tiny nick on the chin.

    Lather: Leftovers amalgamation
    Brush: BodyShop synthetic
    Razor: Gillette New LC
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post: cool rinse and Ogallala Bay Rum

This was as good a shave as I ever get. Lather was amazing - might have something to do with this little cheap synthetic brush! 3 easy passes. The wife said, "You smell good," as I entered the living room. That may be the biggest reward of all!
