Saturday SOTD 48'Aristocrat Rapira ss blade Fuller synthetic brush TOBS Rose shaving cream Myrsol Plastic shave AS Yesterdays attempt at a one pass failed miserably (blaming the Slim). So back to old faithful and a two/three pass shave. Maybe the shave gods were punishing me for wasting lather....
Your photos are stunning, and the colors are almost hypnotic! I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us every day. I have the coolest wallpaper on my computer. And, oh man, that brush is a beauty!
To me going from a boar to silvertip is like going from sandpaper to silk. I only have one boar, a vintage OS and after about 3 months of grudgingly using it, off and on it's ok. I only use it on soap and bowl lathering. Good luck.

•Schick Eversharp Hydro-Magic injector •a recent store branded stainless blade •VDH 3 pass BBS but with some slight irritation. I forgot how a lot of these stainless blades can leave me feeling scraped on the first shave. Nothing mentholated witch hazel and Lucky Tiger lotion couldn't fix, though. Face still feels warm almost 2 hours late so will probably go slap on some menthol.
I had an omega boar which became pretty nice. And I hear semogues get a little softer =) so I look forward to it
SOTD 2-28-15 Pre shave: Just wash face with soap and warm water. Razor: RazoRock Stealth Slant Stainless Blade: Astra SP (3) Soap: Arko stick Brush: VDH Boar Post shave: Rinse first with hot water to get remaining soap off, then rinse with cold water (splashes) and used a little shave balm (mainly on upper lip cause I have a cold and it is kinda raw! The RazoRock is a heavy razor and I can feel the blade on my face so it feels somewhat aggressive! I could not feel the blade on my face with the iKon Slant 102. The RazoRock gave me a great 2 pass shave with a few touch up spots and no irritation except under my nose as I stated as I have a cold coming on so it is kinda red/irritated already! This razor is a great one! I dont think it mattered to me about it being a slant though as I guess I didnt really notice that part! At least it didnt dawn on me as I used it the same way as the others! I achieved a DFS shave easily with only one nick as I was going ATG on the neck by chin....I new better but had to try it! LOL As I mentioned I could really feel the blade on my skin and everytime I moved to a different area I could tell if I was too steep as the blade felt like it was so I would adjust it before I started in that particular area. I dont know if this is common or if it was just me and this razor! Thx.
02/28/15 February Focus on Blades Prep – MR GLO Razor - Mongoose Satin B2 Blade – Kai Mild (5) Brush – RV with Shavemac Finest Lather – MdC Post - Witch Hazel and Dove AS Balm Fantastic 3 pass shave this morning. Chased the baby and caught it. Love the MdC so easy to use and a real guilty pleasure. Finished up the February focus on blades for the Mongoose. After having tried all the available blades, I can say there were no really bad ones. The Feather Super Pro did not work for me. Just made the razor too aggressive even though it was the closest shave I've ever had.
I quit soaking my Plisson - it does seem to hold a lot of water. I just wet the tips before starting to lather then add as needed. Easier to add than take away.
SaTURDay's SOTD: Prep - Hot shower with Tesori D'Oriente "Kashmir Sandalwood and Vetiver" Razor - Bonsa Viennese Brush - Omega 80265 Soap - Proraso Red Alum - Razorock Aftershave - Clubman Balm - Nivea Double Action Moustache wax - Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm Scent - Tesori D'Oriente "Legno di Guajaco" I haven't really needed the alum lately except to tighten up until today. I had a few weepers, lesson learned: don't bench heavy before you shave! I'm also waiting on a sampler set of Queen Charlotte soaps. I'll do a week of DE and a week of SR for each and post my "scientific" findings.

Sunday's Dove Men's Face Wash Arko Stick Jayaruh WC2 Synthetic GEM 1912 GEM Super Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman March is my GEM/Ever-Ready Month. The first up is my GEM 1912. The last time I used this razor was June 24, 2013. It is a beautiful little razor that has been neglected. That is why I am attempting to give everyone of my razors its own week this year. The Arko Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC2 Synthetic Brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
