March is here so perhaps we'll start getting into some warmer weather. Here's my plan for tomorrow morning! Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new SuperMax Blue Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS Diana Sport Menthol Balm Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Fahrenheit EdT After the intensely-cold and wonderful shave I had today I've selected a set-up which I believe is just as cold for tomorrow. The Neutrogena facial wash is nicely-scented, feels really chilly, and leaves the skin spotlessly-clean. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap smells like freshly-made lemonade and the menthol blast wallops you right away. The Diana Sport balm is almost as cold as the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel, so you get the most potent freezing sensation possible. A new SuperMax Blue blade will give me a maximum BBS result!
March 2 Plans Stirling Sheep Soap Merkur 37C Slant Bar Feather blade (day 2) Ever-Ready C40 Boar Stirling Naked and Smooth soap & D.R. Harris Almond cream Three passes Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter I really like this set-up, as it gives a terrific shave! Happy Monday!
Monday's Nivea Men's Face Wash C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger GEM 1912 GEM Super Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
MENTHOL MONDAY MARCH 2, 2015 Razor: Merkur 41c "1904" Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless (green) Brush: Semogue 1320 Soap: Proraso Green AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush I see Jazman using his "1904" religiously and I really want to like this razor, so he's my inspiration to try this razor again. It's a bit warmer here, a veritable heat wave into the upper 20's so I'm brave enough to go with the Menthol Monday theme. Proraso Green was the first cream/soap I tried and I still like it. The Barbasol has a heavy menthol hit that lasts for nearly a 1/2 hour after you're done.

Menthol Monday Krampert's Frostbite is my favorite menthol soap. Combined with the aftershave, superb results follow. The scents match nicely and the skincare is optimal. My New LC comfortably reduced my stubble, leaving smooth happy skin on my face and neck. Two passes on the neck are enough. First go with my Silvertiped African mahogany brush. It's well balanced and worked very well. I'm still learning the best way to use badger, and I'm eager to see if it blooms as I use it. Prep: Kiehl's face wash Soap: Krampert's Finest Frostbite Brush: Brothers Bristles African Mahogany Silvertip Razor: Gillette New LC Blade: Voskhod (2) AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

3/2/15 Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion Lather: leftovers Brush: BodyShop synthetic Razor: New LC Blade: Feather (2) Post: Old Spice 2 passes and all turned out well. The little synthetic brush made a slick and shiny lather with my leftovers soap which provided adequate coverage for a 2 pass shave. 2 passes with this razor may be the key to every day shaving with it.
Menthol Monday: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3) Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (7, 8, 9) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy My shaves are going to be even more predictable than usual the rest of this month; with Spring allegedly on the way and an abundance of product to clear out before my birthday at month's end, I plan to use the Grass Stain Menthol Snow for the remainder of the month along with the Bics and Merkur 41c, for a 'Menthol March' theme. The AS and cologne will continue to change daily. Today's shave was chilly, but nearly BBS-close, with a weeper at my throat on the third pass telling me the blade needs to be changed before tomorrow.

Hadn't shaved since Thursday morning. Running low on Arko, I probably ought to order some. Forgot to snap a picture this morning so here's one recycled from last week.
