SOTD 3MAR15 Pre: Nivea men's face wash Razor: Superspeed Blade: Dorco(3) Lather: Neutrogena sensitive cream Brush: VDH Post: C&E sandlewood balm I think I'm finally figuring this shaving thing out... Only two nicks and no irritation today. Good brush, less water, good lather, and don't go over any spot without reapplying a bit more lather and all will be good. Also, the sandalwood was a nice light scent and absorbed quick with no oily residue.

Wednesday's Planned Shave Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap Jayaruh CH2 Pure Badger GEM 1912 GEM Super Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman This is a hospital shave this morning. The wife had a total knee replacement, so I stayed the night. I have brought along some things for a shave away from home. Among them is my new Cholula Pure Badger brush. The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh CH2 Pure Badger Travel Brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
No photo yet... Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash, Organic Jojoba oil as a pre-shave Brush: Vie-Long Lord Randal Mixed Knot (with a tip of the hat again to @Troy M for the brush!) Soap: Haslinger Honig Rasierseife Razor: Standard Razor Blade: Feather Stainless (started), then switched to a Gillette Silver Blue Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG Post: Cold water splash, Gentleman Jon Alum, and a styptic pencil for my error with the Feather blade Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud Feather blades are not for me. I have tried numerous times to see if I could use them successfully to shave my head, but they always seem too harsh. They seem fine for shaving my cheek line and neck line, but I seem to always nick myself on my scalp with a Feather. So... no more.
