First, go to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Animated_GIF_flags and download some on your computer, then upload on an image uploading website like imgur, etc. And don't forget to resize the gifs to 35x23, that's all!

 

No shave for me today. Tomorrow i will get new stuff. I have to collect it from the German customs clearence.

So my shave will be tomorrow.

Was a No Shave Day !
And Sunday 08 Mar 15 might just be too !
Unless I get ambitious tomorrow morning. I might think about it other wise it might be Sunday Night for Monday !

 

Today I went with a Rapira Platinum Lux that came from my Weishi 9306. This is the first time I have switched a blade from one razor to another. It seemed like a good blade in the Weishi, and although I have several dozen of these blades I decided to use the same blade in my Merkur 34c HD .

I had such a great shave today. I'm not sure if it's from the Rapira Platinum Lux, but whatever it was, I sure enjoyed today's shave.

Yum, great shave. I'm looking forward to trying the Rapira Platinum Lux brand new in my favorite razor, the 34 HD. Awesome shave today!

 

This 1914 is very similar to mine, with the tiny blade stops and the fine svelte handle.....It's super feedback oriented and mine is more aggressive than my OCMM...But once I got a handle on it, I get my best shaves and quite often "one pass" BBS's....which means irritation free...one two finger pass and irritation free...Bless the Liitle Lather Catcher....

But! Yours is even older than mine....Mine is from the first generation but yours is one year before the first generation....Kaufman applied for the pat. On Feb 12, 1913....and didn't get it til of course March 1914....so yours was made during that period before he got the pat....Very Nice Indeed....Congrats....Yours also has a different spring that pushes the blade forward from the back of the top....They changed those as soon as they got the patent....You should post some pics of that spring on the SE and Injector Party Spread....I'm sure all 1914 fans will dig seeing the differences....That's a rare Bird....and a great shaver...most have never seen one...;^))

Simple, fast and efficient. I did 2 passes, with the grain and against. Got an outstanding DFS.

 

Smooth Siefenglatt Sunday
Superb shave today. Siefenglatt is excellent soap, and I love the citrusy scent of Montpellier. Shea moisture makes some unheralded but great products. The aftershave is grapefruit and tea tree, and the balm is an excellent problem solver.

I'm a bit disappointed because although I got a good BBS shave, I had some difficulty working up a proper lather with the Vostok cream. Maybe it's because I used a little too much water at the beginning. The menthol effect from this stuff is VERY strong - maybe even a bit stronger than Iced Subzero.

Shave of yesterday

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash, Sandalwood bar soap

Soap/cream- Seifenglatt Neroli shaving soap with 2 drops of M-Bomb

Brush- Whipped dog 24mm silvertip

Razor- Gillette Slim adjustable(5)

Blade- LADAS

Post- Cold water rinse, Old spice Whitewater aftershave lotion, Rituals Samurai Basil & tigergrass aftershave balm and Nivea sensitive aftershave balm

Very nice shave. I'm loving this Seifenglatt soap. The performance is great and the scent Neroli is really nice and relaxing actually =)

2-drops of M-Bomb because I felt like a little cold shave. 2 drops is a nice amount. I don't like overdoing the menthol. This product is amazing, everyone should have it =P

The LADAS definitely provide a great shave, I'm even more convinced that Astra SP are not my ideal blade. I opened a new 5 pack of LADAS and I'm sticking to them now to see if they can be my next Go2 blade =D

This begins the second week of Single Edge Razor Month. I haven't used this razor since January of 2014, and then it was only two times. I'm going to try doing a week this time and see how it goes. I will be using the Brass Center Punch Handle (short version).

The Col. Conk Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip Brush. Two cautious passes with my GEM 1924 SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... The blade really sings in this razor. It is almost like shaving with a straight. You don't hurry with the 1924 ER.

Interesting shave. MWF, great lather as I come to expect from it. First time using the Schick with the Personna74*, and although the best shave yet with this razor, it is just too mild for me. My wife expressed interest in possibly trying DE shaving, and think this razor could be good for her to start with. But for me probably the last time I will use it.
