It's not a soap, it is a aftershave balm. Melts immediately on your face, nice mild aroma and nice slick feel on one's face. I really don't need it when I use the Saponificio Felce Aromatica shave soap, but it feels nice on the face and I still use aftershave lotion before I head off to work.

    Thor's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (3, 4, 5)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH
    Cologne: Velvet Mood (sample)

Had an early appointment to check on my glaucoma this AM, so the shave preceded this post by several hours. With the angle closer to the cap, the shave was closer than I had gotten used to, nearly hitting BBS without an ATG pass, which is a true rarity for me. I was in enough of a hurry (or enough of an early morning fog; take your pick) that I neglected to use any aftershave splash beyond the witch hazel, but it didn't seem to hinder my results any.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: GE Jones Shake Sharp, Imperial Razor Warranted Barbers Favorite straight razor
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (3)
    Brush: HJM Black Fibre
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

Spring is coming and another Darn Fine Shave this morning. The Cade was turned into a really good lather by the HJM brush. The Shake Sharp and the BF did their magic. The AV brought some comfort and the Prada will have me smelling great for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

image.jpg Reminiscing of Dolphins and the Caribbean
    Razor : Gillette gold toggle (D1) 1958 (5) (3)
Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton cologne Frosted Glass 1960s

In the Wayback Machine again today thinking of sailing in the Caribbean, Dolphins and my bride. That woman/girl who is the best thing to ever happen to me.

On to the shave. Good start with a Vintage brush and warm Coconut cream. I actually like this scent more than the TOBS coconut Treating myself with my toggle today. I believe I'm the only one to have ever shaved with it and It is by far the best shaving razor I have ever used. Two no pressure passes WTG XTG on 5 and one ATG on my neck on 3 with only a slight touchup on the right side of my neck. Very close, very smooth, no burn shave. The Trumpers gives a great slick cushion, felt good. Cucumber WH felt good, and after cleanup some JB gel, and Vintage OS Lime. Warm coconut lather, cucumber WH, and OS Lime, must be summer in the Caribbean , or Dustin. Come on Summer! Did you know that Dolphins brains process information 2 times faster than Humans, and their brain is larger.

    This morning's shave
I've been on a carbon blade tear lately. It is so rewarding. As smooth and as close as anything, but different.
    brush: Rooney 1/1 Ivory/Best
    soap: WSP Rustic in Mahogany
    razor: 1960 Gillette Fat Boy
blade: NOS Schick Deluxe with Krona edge (1)
    after shave: Fine American Blend
    three passes to Nirvana
First time with this soap, I picked up a few samples. It's supposed to be comparable to MdC, and it is. A little less...cushion? but very nicely scented.
