1. Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash, Sandalwood bar soap

Soap/cream- Taylor of old bond street Sandalwood shaving cream

    Brush- Whipped dog 24mm silvertip

    Razor- Gillette Slim adjustable(5)

    Blade- LADAS

Post- Cold water rinse, mentholated Pinaud Clubman Original aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive aftershave balm

The scent of this cream is so damn nice, and wow.. It lathers itself hahaha.

I got an Okey lather for a first time. It was weird it was dissipating on some places and drying on other.. How can I have to little and to much water in the same lather? Haha I guess I need to get to know the cream first. But I can definitely see TOBS becoming a PERMANENT member of my den =D

LADAS blades..... I have a love/hate relationship with this blade. I get amazing shaves with them WHEN they work. Sometimes I get a blade that doesn't cut, I don't get this with other blades. There is visible differences in the bevel! So it's gotta be that. Today I opened a new blade, tossed it after the shave. Out of 4 different "sides" of the blade, only 1 was good and another 1 was just okey. I can see this blade being a Go2, but the inconsistency of it is a turnoff. Anyone experience this?

  3. Friday's Shave

Prep: Hot shower w/ Grandpa's Pine Tar

    Brush: Omega 13522
Razor: '52 Gillette Super Speed black tip
    Blade: store brand Israeli Personna

Think I'm coming down with something, feeling run down and woke up late for the second day in a row!

Decided to try the black tip with something I knew I liked, and didn't have time to use something that took a lot of work to lather, so I used the KMF. Quick, decent 2 pass shave, out the door by 0610 and on post by 0655.

  8. I love my old Tech but I have to agree here. I get great shaves with enough effort and time, but not super close.

Have you ever accidentally snorted lather up into your sinuses while shaving? Don’t do it. It BURNS. A lot. Made my eyes water. I had to stop shaving and address the issue before I could continue. There is still a mild lingering burnning sensation up there. I presume it will fade eventually....

    That Shave Life!
  13. Sotd started out with fuzzy face burnt sugar soap and and unknown Parker safety bar razor, soap would not lather thickly and the razor was so mild so I traded them in for more my two old reliables. TFS soaps always lathers well no matter what I do, and fatip on burled maple handle ( almost as close as the muhle r41 but without have the chance of burn).

  19. 3/13/2015 Lucky Friday the 13th

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: GE Jones Shake Sharp, Friodur Inox 70 1/2 straight razor
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (4)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Cella
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

It is Friday the 13th and it is looking more and more like spring. The Vie Long brush did a great job turning the Cella into a wonderful lather. The lather was thick and slick. The Shake Sharp and the Friodur did a good job knocking down the stubble. The AV brought some protection and the Prada will have me smelling great all day long. All in all, it was a 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!
