I skipped yesterday's shave due to laziness. Back in the saddle this AM, I rediscovered the angle for the 41c, after whipping up a surplus of lather-yogurt from the Ginger's Garden; it's actually reasonable to think the puck will just barely survive the month at this rate, as it has formed the donut indicating the end is nigh. Proper angle produced nearly BBS results in three passes, though I caught a couple weepers on my throat during the 3rd pass, leading me to toss the blade after.

 

THIS is one reason why I like this place; the information so generously shared. Thank you very much. Now, I've got a good frame of reference to work with.

No menthol stuff today (isn't that strange!) because very seriously, I have to start using soaps and creams which have been lying around the house. The Blueness stick from Turkey smells very nice and it's a good latherer as well. Its skincare is pretty good, although I'd say I prefer the Arko in that department. The Chabrawichi cologne doubles very well as an aftershave, and I love the lemony/lavender scent it has. The Sharp blade gave me an excellent shave, but it's pretty well at the end so I'll change it tomorrow.

Mastro Livi Carbon Damascus Kamisori 5/8, French Point​

I have always had a passion for Japanese kamisori and I have some of them in my collection. The same passion is for this stunning Mastro Livi kamisori, made of Mastro's carbon damascus steel, with a simple yet very elegant pattern. Not to mention the joy of shaving with Mastro Livi brush, an excellent silvertip badger with a large handle perfectly fitting my hand. Add to this the magnificence of a super performing shaving soap like Martin De Candre and the finishing touch of Floid Black, what I got is a a superb shave.​

Return of the Beast
I used my Brothers Bristles Beast Plisson today for the first time in a long while. It made sort work of the Latha and felt like a cloud face lathering. Der Vorschlaghammer was well behaved and I wrapped it up with Latha AS. This is a very nice combination, typical of B&M excellence.

Floral Sunday

On Sundays I usually go with a floral scent. Today was an excellent mix of MDC Lavender, TOBS lavender, and TOBS Rose. Why TOBS Lavender with the MDC Lavender? The MDC Lavender smells "woody" to me while the TOBS smells sweeter. The combination is excellent and the rose just adds another level of pleasantness. 4 passes this morning and superior feel.

After delay's/manufacturing issues etc, I finally have parts for the Rockwell 6S. The razor has very loud audible feedback. Paired with the Personna 74* provided a nice shave. Almost DFS. As loud as it is I was a little shy with it, however the alum block provide ZERO feedback, which pleased and surprised me. I will be tying different plates (there are 6 gap size configurations) but this is going to be my razor for April Focus.
