I may be switching to Injector as my primary razor! I am loving it!

Hope everyone had a great Sunday and is geared up for a great week!

Taking a day from the New LC to use the Weber. I'm starting to get a little bit of irritation after 17 consecutive days of shaving with the LC.

Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion
Lather: TSD Coconut
Brush: Vie-Long 13061M horsehair
Razor: Weber PH
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (3)
Post: Cool rinse and Old Spice

Main observation - my wife seems to love the smell of Old Spice. She's commented that she likes the way I smell the last few mornings. I told her that is what she is used to smelling. She told me that Old Spice has really made a comeback at her middle school and she much prefers smelling it on the boys rather than the varieties of air clogging Axe sprays.

Secondary observation - one day with the Weber and the Old Spice aftershave gave no sting. Hmmm, perhaps I enjoy that mild shave.

March Focus- Be modern, Learn to use my Feather Artist Club razor. Any touch ups with a modern DE.

A moment of silence please, for all of the sideburns lost through inattention.

I shaved again today with just the Feather Artist Club SS, no DE touchups. Did I mention this thing is efficient? Usually, I feel some tugging if I get too close to my sideburns with a DE. This morning when I went to rinse off the razor on my ATG pass, I noticed half of one sideburn was on the razor. Whoops.

I did N/S pass (WTG on my face, and mostly XTG on my neck,) then I did an S/N pass (ATG on my face, and mostly XTG on neck,) Then I lathered up and did my touch ups and ATG pass on my neck and chin. Angle and pressure seem to be key to getting a good shave with this. Only one nick, and hardly any alum burn.

I am really starting to enjoy this razor. I even ordered a cover for it so I can travel with it next week. I thought this was going to be a CCS, but it came out as a DDF. If I can figure out how to shave my chin and one strip of hair on my neck, I think a BBS is possible with this razor.

Great 3 pass shave this morning finished up with the Dove AS Balm and Captain's Choice Bay Rum. My friend gave me some Gillette 7 o'clock yellows to try so I think I will load one up and give it a try for the next several shaves.

Two and a half passes :WTG , XTG, cleanup w/ a little ATG

Working on angles still. Got an ATG pass on my cheeks for the first time so far with no irritation. Still haven't attempted ATG on
my neck yet, but that will come in time.

The Kraken soap is just awesome. Lathers better for me than any other soap I've tried up until this point. Very clean barbershop
scent, with a bit of salty air scent on the puck, but that salty scent dissipates pretty quickly once lathered, at least for me. This
is quickly becoming my favorite soap. Lathers like crazy, even more so than Stirling for me, and that's saying something. I had
more lather than I knew what to do with.

I'm not in love with the fragrances yet though. I got the Italian Stallion as well, and did a test lather with it. Still can't decide
if I'm keeping that one or not. The description sounds like something that was made especially for me, but the combination,
or mixture of fragrances just hasn't grabbed me yet.

Snagged the Cool Fix based on a recommendation from my best friend. Works great for me. Treats ingrown hairs and
redness both. Not cheap, but you only need a little each time. The bottle shown was $11.50.

Happier and happier with my progress so far!



Plus, The Kraken looks cool too.

Didn't have a chance to post over the weekend - life happens and this is just shaving! But I wanted to shave a fun experience I had with my 10 year on Saturday before his baseball game. He had the same treatment as me. 3 passes - (with no blade of course ) He choose the orange chill soap as well. I think he enjoyed it almost as much as I did. He got to "shave like dad." Good times. Now my two shaves this weekend, Saturday I chased the heck out of a bbs on my neck to the point of burn! No bueno. At some point I'll learn...Today was much better. didn't force the action and stopped at 3 passes. Neck not as tight as my cheeks, but not as burned either!

Looking forward to using my new birth year razor that came it on Friday! 1974 - Black handle Gillette TTO. Might try it out on my arms tonight!

I am loading the brush a little more with the MdC, and the lather is improving. This set up makes for a nice shave with no irritation or nicks if I take my time.

It was 75 F and sunny here today. I'm missin' the snow and ice already! I'm also selling the Brooklyn Bridge if you are interested. I hope you all have an enjoyable week.

Thanks for allowing me take a three-day detour away from the March 30-day rule to try out the MdC that I received last week. (I'm sure many of you are familiar with the kid-in-a-candy-store syndrome.) I'll return to my boar brush and Stirling soap for the remainder of March beginning on the 18th.

I'm considering Arko April, MdC May, and Judgment June involving a very unscientific and highly questionable showdown between Arko and MdC. I still need to work out some details, so more to come. I am open to any and all constructive (ahem) suggestions, provided (a) my Bride approves of the Arko scent, (b) it does not involve tasting the Arko, and (c) there is no risk to life or limb.

Can't complain about day two of the Silver, but I feel like day three won't be a good day. Just seemed like this blade was running out of steam by the time I finished. Took three solid passes for the DFS and the 7 o'clock shadow is heavier than normal tonight. I'm already figuring out which blade to switch to for the final four days of the week. I just hope it isn't as bad in the morning as I expect given it's a day off shave and I like to really enjoy those. I'm antici------pating the worst!

Chris, do you have a family member attending Murray State University? Just wondering what brings you out this way.

My best friend (for the last ten years) is a 74 year old retired Master Sergeant. He is from Mayfield/Murray. I am driving the truck for him from Denver as we move him to his final home in Murray. He is returning to be with his people. His wife has leukemia, so we are working on setting up his home so that she may just walk in and simply live there. This April trip will finish the move process. Bittersweet for me, but I am happy for him...he is a wonderful man, lived his life the right way, and is realizing his goals. I will see him frequently though...my parents live in Madison county, Alabama, and that's only a five hour drive from Murray.

My friend's name is George, and he means the world to me. Were it not for his wisdom, I would be in much worse shape than I am. I thank our Father above for him daily.

Chris, that is a touching story about your dear friend, George. Thanks for sharing it. God places some wonderful people like George in our lives! You both are blessed to have each other as friends.
