image.jpg Fly me to the Moon, on my night time shave
Razor: Gillette Goodwill #164 1931 (slotted center hole) with original case and blade pack
    Brush: e-shave finest Badger
Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 02) 1964 – 1978
    Cream: The Gentlemen cedar cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Neutrogena Post Shave Balm, Pinaud Clubman AS
Rare night time shave listening to Frank. Loaded a new Feather and checked the alignment. It still looks strange with the studs showing through the top cap, but the Feather was aligned perfectly. I whipped up The Gentlemen cedar, Frank would approve, in a vintage OS mug. Is this great or what. First pass WTG very nice glide with no pressure with this light razor. Second pass XTG on my face and then ATG on my neck. Franks voice was as smooth as the shave. A little touchup on my neck, and done. Great razor! Very smooth. The WH felt good and then some Neutrogena Balm. Will finish off with some Pinaud Clubman, as I head out the door in the morning, listening to some more Frank!

    Planned for Wednesday
    Toro Matador razor
    Super-Max Blade
    Vintage Rubberset 507 brush
Kramperts Bay Rum Acadian Spice soap
Kramperts Bay Rum Acadian Spice AS
Stingray Bay solid bay rum fragrance
Will be the first time using the Toro razor and the brush. The brush is a shedder and due for a new knot but the badger/bristle has great feel and plan on using it right up till replacement.

Thanks Celestino. The picture was taken a week ago but I only posted it on Polish forum. Because yesterday I used the same set I decided to place it also here.

    I didn't know this.
German word for "Devil Dogs" is misspelled. In German the term would not be two words, but one. The plural of Hund is Hunde, not "Hunden." So the poster and any Marine references to the German nickname should read Teufelshunde —one word with a connecting s. Most of the references I have found on the Web have the German incorrect in one way or another. Even the Marine Corps' own Parris Island Museum has it wrong. Since the museum's founding in 1975, the sign on display there has read "Teuelhunden" rather than the correct "Teufelshunde."

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash, sandalwood bar soap

Soap/cream- Taylor of old bond street Jermyn street collection shaving cream for sensitive skin

    Brush- Whipped dog 24mm silvertip

    Razor- Merkur 37c

    Blade- LADAS(2)

Post- Cold water rinse, Aqua Velva ice blue aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive aftershave balm

A slight razorburn, I need to go easier on the pressure with the Merkur.

The TOBS smells nice, mild and warm scent. Lathered real fast, and provided good protection. The TOBS creams are real nice!

By now, 5-10 minutes after the shave the razorburn is gone. But I need to lay off the pressure =) the Merkur does have more blade exposure than I'm used to, but it's a damn effective shaver!

The G5/Personna whacked off a two day growth with ease. And the Dr. Selby is a very nice SC. Great start to the day.

I am more and more impressed with the little bodyshop synthetic brush every time I use it. I've had meh lathers with the TSD coconut the last couple of days, but today it was fantastic - slick, shiny and nice. Could it be the brush?

lolllll I wouldn't say I'm his number one customer, but I definitely love whatever products of his that I have. I also must thank Ryan for introducing me to them because until then I had never even heard of Stirling soaps.

My shave today was good enough to keep using that Sharp blade. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap felt wonderful - a menthol blast which froze my face like an arctic wind and enough lather to do five passes. The skincare of this soap is terrific as well.
