Those are the originals. BEFORE…grimy, scuffed, sticky (!), dirty & overall, a pretty gross razor to hold Sanded, polished & buffed, and finished with Renaissance wax.

Hart 7/8 custom scaled by gssixgun ( G10 gold with a purple liner and double pins) Borrowed glens photo too - Lots of negative vibes going around about the Hart quality and some from me but this one is a dandy and shaves as well as any razor I own MWF soap mixed with T & H violet crème - just did it on a whim and it was awesome Floid Blue A/S
Revisor 8/8 Yesterday, I tried shaving with a Merkur 38C HD(something like that) to save time, get to work early and do some overtime. My skin did not like the experience. My cheeks were irritated with one pass. Back to the straights. The double edge didn't save any time either. On another note, in our last straight razor group meeting, a new member, a young marine, chastised me for using synthetic brushes, saying it was comparable to shaving with a cartridge razor. I was taken aback and wondered about the nylon synthetic brushes that were used in the early 1900's or what people used before brushes.
I have to agree with your jarhead friend. (We Marines stick together ya know) In all honesty I also cannot see using anything but a badger. I have horsehair and Boars and literally hate them. I may try a synthetic some day just to say I did
Hess 99 in mint condition. It is a dangerous little slicer but I love shaving with it Razorock Son Of Zeus w.DR Harris Arlington crème- a very nice ubelather LaToja splash
5/8 Hackett Diamond Cold River Select Barbershop home badger/ Semogue knot This razor is a old favorite and had a superb edge this morning, nice shave. Have a good one.
Yesterday morning just re-honed it using the Zulu as a finisher, got a CCS which I am good with thinking there may be a little more left to give from the edge going to try a Shapton run through and see if this Hart can hold onto the 30k edge.. The Hart was sent in for testing as part of repaying a PIF hehehe I love these forums
