The Frost_byte soap is well-named because it really does freeze holy hell out of you. Its lather is so easy to work up and the post-shave care is good as well. My shave was excellent today.
What are your thoughts on the CC North AS? I see youve been using it steady this week. Initial sniffs from the bottle got poor reviews from the wife, I hoping it smells better on, like most AS does. Wife claimed it smelled like cheap gin...
Im no expert but believe NDC would indicate 47 -50. GDCarrington has a great post if you search the site.
March 26, 2015 Prep: Warm Water Razor: Muhle R106 Blade: Feather New Hi Stainless (second use) Brush: Omega 10066 Shaving Cream: Cella Post: Nivea Balm for Sensitive Skin Aftershave: Tarr (local brand) This one did not went too well. Feather blade got way too dull after the first pass. Second pass was painful, did not continued with the third one. First shave with that blade, yesterday, went great. Today was bad. Got two nicks, no visible razor burn, but few spots i feel they are irritated.
3/26/2015 Thrifty Thursday! Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO Razor: Gillette Black Tip Super Speed, The "Hornet" straight razor Blade: Astra SP (5) Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair Soap: Col Conk - Amber After: Home made ASB, Nivea for men after shave balm Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense It is Thrifty Thursday and I went to a soap brand that I started out with. The Vie Long brush whipped up the Amber into a really good lather. The Black Tip and the "Hornet" did their jobs with distinction. The Nivea ASB brought some moisturizing and the Prada will have me smelling great all day. All in all it was a Darn Fine Shave. Have a blessed day!
Today was a typical MDC 3 pass shave day. In other words, great! MDC Rapira Platinum Lux Slim Adjustable

03/26/15 Prep – MR GLO Razor – GEM Feather Weight Blade – CVS GEM (1) Brush – Rudy Vey with TGN Finest Lather – MdC Post - Witch Hazel, Dove AS Balm and CC Bay Rum AS Thanks @JR Reyes for the loan of 4 GEM Razors to test drive. I stopped by CVS Pharmacy on the way home last night and picked up some blades. Placed an order for some PETE GEM blades for the upcoming shaves. I shaved with a GEM Feather Weight for this mornings shave. A very good 3 pass shave this morning. The angle was very easy to find and I was happy with the resulting shave. I did have a problem getting close enough above my lip and the point of the chin. Reached for the Mongoose to clean up those areas. I sure these areas will get better as I get used to the GEM razors.
Thursday Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap Soap: La Toja Cream-Great Cream! Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Green Super Stainless (4) Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip-24mmx48mm Aftershave: Canoe WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) La Toja Cream today. 5 seconds to load the WD Silvertip. Great, easy, thick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS still in the FH Tech. Nice smooth, close, shave. I finished Canoe. Bob
Rasatura di Giovedi. Another day with QCS, another BBS shave: poverty 2-pass: ATG and XTG. These soaps lather so luxuriously, a face lather can actually generate suction between the brush and my face. Maybe i've been doing something wrong, but i not experienced this previously. I prepped my beard in the shower with a "shampoo bar" (tallow) soap since I wanted to try it on my beard and it smelled and felt great pre- and post shave, but I was in a rush, I had a few weepers. Prep - Hot shower with QCS "Peppermint Eucalyptus" Razor - Bonsa Wiener Brush - Omega 80265 Boar Soap - QCS "Basilica" Balm - QCS "Vetiver"
does the Latoja creme give as great a shave as the Latoja stick? a proper question would be, have you used the stick, and how does it compare?

Great shave last night. DFS bordering on BBS. The gear. -Stephan stay smooth brushless cream. -Feather popular razor for two passes, gillette 7 o'clock sterling for touch up. -Feather blade. -Gabel's bay rum aftershave -A little aveeno unscented aftershave lotion. The feather razor gave me a close comfortable shave, the gillette took it on to a DFS. I generally like mild razors and can get very good results from them, however the feather popular is the one mild razor that seems to be too mild for my taste. I can get a close comfortable shave from it but not much better than that. The gillette sterling doesn't feel as smooth as some razors, it looks and feels pretty cheap, but I get good results with it.

SoTD for Thursday, March 26, or, brushing up... Pre-BBC oil Soap- Pre de Provence Brush- vulfix, streets of London 'the strand' Razor- schick F Blade- krona chrome vintage Rinse- Osage Aftershave- Fine Vetiver Balm- Kiehl's Cologne- Ho Hang Club The Schick F continues to be great. I find myself going quite fast with it. I had to make myself slow down a couple times this morning. Today the brush is a Vulfix. It is a Strand, from the Streets of London series. This is yet another finalist in my 'brushes that look and feel vintage, yet are new' search. Like the Semogue SOC, this is a brush that impressed me greatly. For the price, I genuinely feel that this is a top tier brush. I would not hesitate to pick up another Vulfix brush. I was pretty proud that I had reigned in my reckless spending on razors... and then I decided to pick up a brush. Just one. Now I have a brush problem! What is it with this crazy shaving lifestyle that compels us to accumulate so much stuff??
