Whoah Nelly! That's more Rebirth than Restore!

 

Ive got some of my best shaves using my FB with TOBS cream. Fleetwood Mac Rumours was the first "cassette tape" I owned.

 

Glad I'm not the only one. I picked up two Vulfix brushes, a Plisson from France and then overpaid for a couple vintage handles in a late night bidding frenzy on the bay. I did tell myself no more soap or AS though, until I get this "bad" under control.

 

One of my all time favorites! I have it on original vinyl, but my player is now toast. I have the CD in my car. Their live concerts on utub are great.

 

I know what you mean. I quit buying razors, right after this one comes in the mail

SOTD 3-26-15

Soap: C&E Nomad puck (1st time using)
Bowl: 99 cent from Goodwill

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry!

Shave was very good (I would say DFS) No nicks or irritation. Not sure if it was the ATT M2 plate or the Voskhod blade. I think it was the plate!

The C&E Nomad soap (old version) was a first for me (thanks for a buddy on here that sent it to me). The scent was very nice and not overly strong and the soap lathered up like nobody's business! Very easy to lather and felt/feels very nice on the skin!

Normally I dont use any AS's, ASB's or Cologne's cause they are all too strong for my liking but the couple I have are okay for me so I decided to treat myself with alittle bit of Aqua Velva to celebrate the great shave!

I have alot of blades and quite a few choices so trying to sample them in order to decide what to keep and what to move on. In search of the perfect razor/blade combo!!

On Gillette tilt to open razors and others with the doors open the center bar used to load a blade has a notch on both ends of the bar to help with loading the blade. This is a way to help determine how old a razor is, as the notches show up on later versions in the Gillettes. The end caps are on each end of the head on a tilt to open razor, and cover some of the mechanism. Hope this helps.

This is the last week of my GEM/ER SE Razor Month, and it's time for the GEM G-bar.

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger Badger Brush. Two passes with my GEM G-bar SE razor and a Treet Super SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. This was a first time shave with a Treet (gift from @PatrickA51 ), and it was very smooth. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
