Glad I did. Today's shave was nice. 3 passes and pretty clean, although I don't find the razor to be as smooth as a DE. I guess I'll get back to the 30 day focus and see what I learn.

TUESDAY Early morn shave Up bright & early (4:00am) with plenty of coffee on-board before attempting a three-pass shave. Always easier with a round-point razor! Have a blessed Tuesday, all, as we say good-bye to March! (Last day to enter the Custom Straight Razor PIF! Drawing tonight @7:00pm PST).

Arko April Focus - CJB Kamisori March 31, 2015 - Week 1 Day 3 Prep - Hot shower and towel Brush - Omega Pro 48 Soap - Arko Razor - CJB & '59 Gillette Superspeed Blade - (3) (3) Post - Alum & Aqua Velva Ice Blue Third day of the CJB and still no nicks/cuts/weepers. Careful attention to angle and pressure and, so far, no major lapses in concentration and all's well. Every time I finish with this thing I hear Sweeney Todd singing "The closest I ever gave.....". I've noticed that my left side is a bit of a problem, but since I am right handed I just need more work with the left. Alum was a major pain in the neck this morning but I also spent a bit of extra time on the neck with the CJB before doing the last pass with the Superspeed. Working up to two passes with the kamisori.
SOTD. 3/31/15 TUESDAY COLD WATER SHAVE Prep: Hot shower Razor: Custom rhodium plated 1958 Fat Boy Blade: Astra SP Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip Soap: RazoRock XXX As: Pacific Rush Cold water shave this morning to "try something new" and stretch my boundaries. Very nice, very comfortable 2-pass shave. Only problem was the chunk out of my nose when my wife ran into me...ouch. Never liked my nose anyway. Really comfortable shave with very little feedback from the alum or AS. We'll see what tomorrow brings! Thanks for the suggestion Jim.
Menthol Tuesday Yesterday I celebrated Menthol Monday and had such a great shave that I had to do menthol again today. At about 10:00 last night I felt my face and it was still very smooth. 3 1/2 passes today, and boy, do I feel good. L'Occitane Cade w/ Stirling Glacial Obsidian Rapira Stainless blade Slim Adjustable
Man alive, after shaving with the Glacial Lavender soap and using the Alcolado Glacial splash I'll need all day for my face to thaw out. What a freeze - I LOVE it!

Tabac Parker best badger 2011 Muhle R41 (Personna blue) Coldwater/alum Captain's Choice Lime Today was the first day with the 2011 version of the beast, and my initial impression is positive but I can't say there were fireworks when compared to the 2013 R41. A very close two pass shave with no nicks, cuts, and very minor irritation that showed up with the alum. It's way too soon to conclude anything about the razor (except to say it delivers, like it's 2013 cousin, a very close shave). Maybe I'll post my daily impressions in one of the many comparisons threads... Happy Tuesday everyone!
SOTD: Tuesday, March 31 Soap: Stirling Executive Man* Brush: Simpson TSN LE M6 Manchurian 114/200 Razor: Feather AS-D2 Blade: Personna Med Prep (3) EdC: C.O. Bigelow No. 1585 *New Soap 1/13 The Stirling didn't disappoint. Luxurious Lather, easily created; slickness abounding; scent: word has it that it's based upon Creed Aventus; I cannot confirm nor deny, but the undeniable fact is-I lenjoyed the scent so well, I immediately ordered the matching splash. Recommended. Have a great day.
Last night I had a DFS. I love it when for some reason I'm not expecting a great shave but I manage to get one anyway. Here is a list of the gear. Razor: Lord L5 Blade: Treet silver (Carbon steel) this was the third shave with this blade. Cream: Stephan stay smooth (brushless) Aftershave: Gables bay rum. I love it when I'm not expecting a great shave and I get one anyway. The previous day I had a so so shave with the treet blade in a razorock mission razor so I wasn't expecting much, but what a surprise. I had a dfs bordering on a bbs shave. I guess I'll give the treet blade another go.
03/31/2015 Prep – MR GLO Razor – Mongoose B2 with Jürgen Hempel Ti Blade –Feather Pro (1) Brush –Rudy Vey with TGNFinest Lather – MdC Post - Witch Hazel, Dove AS Balm and CC Bay Rum AS Fantastic 3 pass shave this morning. I have really enjoyed using the MdC for the month of March. I have found it very easy to lather and for me provides plenty of slickness and cushion. The soap does not really add anything for post shave feel so I've used the AS Balm each day. As much as I've enjoyed the MdC, I'm looking forward to using some of my other soaps.
March 30, 2015: Last nights shave Pre- Face wash with warm water, Mickey Lee Pre Shave Butter Brush Soak- Sriracha Mug of Doom™ Razor- Ikon 102 Slant Blade- Personna (4) Soap- Mickey Lee "Le Belle Du Sud" Brush- Omega boar Post- Cold water rinse Aftershave- The Cool Fix balm Two and a half passes :WTG , XTG, cleanup w/ a little ATG Really like the Pre Shave Butter. The scent is awesome, and it makes my face so slick it's crazy. The soap performs amazing, just like the other ML soaps I have. It's an interesting scent for sure. To my nose, the peach and pistachio are equal in strength, and I just don't pick up any of the lavender that's in it. I have to applaud Samantha for thinking out of the box for her scent combos though, very imaginative. Skipped the alum and the witch hazel, and only used the Cool Fix after shave. I wanted to see how well the PSB and the soap protected my skin after the shave. They did great for me, no redness, no bloodletting, nothing. Couldn't be happier.
