Happy Birthday Guy. I hope you have a great day. I am glad you like using Thors hammer☺ (funny, that's what I think of when I use it too.)
Wednesday's shave. I really needed to wake up today. So I went for a strong menthol shave. It was very refreshing. Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb Pre Shave - Proraso green Lather - Proraso green soap Brush - Pilsson synthetic Aftershave - Aqua velva

Thanks Chris, Kerry and Joe. Only one shave with Thor's Hammer but I can see why you really like this one Joe.
Thanks, Phil, but I'm plenty satisfied with my current herd. Could I interest you in a slightly-dull Gillette Venus Embrace? We're talkin' five (!) curve-hugging blades, contoured for your comfort and yet stylish enough to be the envy of every he-man wet-shaver!
SOTD 4-1-15 With this shave the two items from the National Box Tour was the Tweezerman brush again and the Arko Cool cream! Razor: ATT R2 w/Atlas handle (2nd time with R2, 2nd time with Atlas) Blade: Ladas (2) Soap: Arko Cool (1st time using) Bowl: Steel Brush: Tweezerman (no idea if boar or badger. 3rd use) Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry! Shave was a DFS but got two weepers and no irritation. Third time with the ATT R2 OC plate and 2nd time with the Ladas and 2nd time with the Atlas handle. I think the handle is going to be a little too short for my liking, not feeling the love with it for the second time! This is the first time I trying this cream and of coarse being cream it lathered real easy in the bowl and gave me a good slick and somewhat protective lather. I will say it didnt seem to leave my skin as protected during the passes or as smooth as the RR soap I used two days ago but okay! It lathered the same as the Arko Moist I used yesterday but to me didnt have the protection that went with the Arko Moist. My usual disclaimer is that I am no expert for sure but this is one is just so so and I will not use it again! Regarding the Ladas. This is second time using this blade and I think it feels sharper this time than it did the first time! Is that weird? It seems like it is a good blade but today I got two weepers from it so I am not sure what to think. I will say I wasn't impressed with the protection I got from the Arko Cool cream today so maybe that contributed to my weepers, I don't know! All I know is that it couldn't have been me! I have quite a few choices of blades and soaps so I will continue to work thru them. Thx. and feel free to post any comments on the gear used today!
