Another good - but maybe not earthshatteringly good - shave - I think I started out with somewhat unrealistic expectations :)

    Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
    Soap: Arko

    Economical Shave, Wednesday morning
    Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar
Razor: Vander Hagen ($5 Cl find)
    Blade: 7 O'clock (from PIF)
Soap: Vander Hagen homemade shave stick (http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/van-der-hagen-deluxe-shaving-soap-review.42362/page-4)
    Aftershave: Barbasol Brisk.
Really like the VanDerHagen stick. Really a great lather for 3+ passes. I have been really impressed with the tallow based soaps, but for a glycerin soap: I'm impressed. Besides the added fragrance oil makes this really smell great! To bad I forgot to add some "chill" to it. WP_20150330_008.jpg

Looks like it could be really aggressive. I like the industrial looking handle though. Nice.

This will be my set-up for Thursday:

L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Sharp day 4
Bozzano Sensitive SC :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Givenchy Gentleman EdT

For tomorrow my shaving journey will take me to Brazil in my mind, so I could get richly-lathered with the Bozzano Sensitive cream which smells of eucalyptus and menthol. The cream has a pleasant cooling sensation, with excellent post-shave care. The next leg on the journey is back to Montreal, I guess (possibly Toronto!) for the Lubriderm moisturizer which is very soothing. Next, I'll be off to White Plains, NY for a couple of chilly splashes of the Aqua Velva, and finally it's off to Paris for the Givenchy Gentleman eau de toilette, which is a favourite fragrance of mine. This is one scent which even Madame enjoys smelling on me. Oh, I forgot to mention that this voyage of mine includes Istanbul where my Horsehair brush is from! ;) :D

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Cella
    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Gillette Fatboy F2
    Sputnik Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Cella Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Gillette Fatboy razor and a Sputnik Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks for the tip on changing the blade angle. I started at three today. I am planning on making adjustments only for now, then I'll change blades a bit. I will be changing soaps/creams around in the process though.

Fantastic shave again this morning. First time using Al's Shaving Products and it produced a slick and thick lather easily. 2 passes and no touch ups required. The maca root as balm has left my face silky smooth all day. I did change it up and splashed on the Veg (body and face). Man, if you're one of the chosen you gotta try this....very refreshing post shower.

Another 5 or 6 short weeks if it's healed properly and the steel rod can be removed.
