Aqua Velva Musk It has a kick, not real big for moisture, cooling, or soothing. But It will do wonders on healing and its very cheep. THE SCENT IS WHAT A MAN SHOULD SMELL LIKE!
THE best thing about AV Musk is the SCENT / SMELL. Most excellent and long lasting on me. This should be one of the catagories in the ratings section. Slight burn, not as much as the AV Classic. Goes right in and is slightly moisturizing. Prolly OK on its' own during summertime / extra layer needed for the winter.
a good aftershave indeed, it gives the skin a nice jolt after a shave, and the scent is quite nice as well. Jeff
Nice scent and very effective I love this aftershave as much as I love AV Ice Sport Cooling. The smell is exquisite and very long lasting. This aftershave makes you realize that you don't have to spend lots of money to get an effective and nice smelling aftershave product.
Love this stuff! The scent is a 12 for me. And I find it to be a great toner too. My face always feels great after this. I marked low for cooling as is it is not supposed to, and burn because it is supposed to burn a bit, and I find it to be a enjoyable, simple form of masochism.
Good Stuff! For the money, I love this stuff! I generally only use it when my skin is drying out or I have had a really bad shave as it moisturizes and heals my face right up. I do wish however even when used sparingly that it would absorb better, if you use to much it leaves a glycerin sheen on your face.
After buying the regular AV aftershave when I first began DE shaving, then giving it away after 2 uses, I never thought in a million years that I would ever buy an AV product again. That is, until my son was telling me of the great scent of the AV musk. So, after a few times of sniffing the scent on several trips to the supermarket, I figured, for $4.49, what do I have to lose? I like it so much, that I have literally blown my scheduled AS rotation by using the AV musk three days in a row. The last time that I donned the great aroma, I noticed after the dry down that it had a familiar scent to it, but couldn't quite place it. It wasn't until another day when I was applying my Tabac cologne that the large bell went off in my head. Now, I have a great AS that compliments my Tabac cologne. As far as burn, moisturizing qualities and all that other stuff, I have to throw out the parts that have made me a huge fan of the AV Musk. The price and the scent.
Good stuff! I like it better than the AV ICE BLUE. I used to love Blue when I was a kid. and still very much like the scent. Back then, a MUSK scent always smelled funky to me. Though this AV Musk scent is very different than the Blue, I actually think it has a cleaner more masculine smell. The first woman that I encountered after putting this on, commented on how good it smelled. You just can't beat that for an endorsement of a new aftershave! It also is very soothing, and I felt that it moisturized my face better than most alcohol based aftershaves that I have used. I plan to keep some on hand.
The only Aqua Velva allowed on my shelf. It's fantastic as is - and a great value - but blended 70/30 with some old Avon Leather (the 30%) it's FAN-TAS-TIC.
