SoTD for Saturday April 4, Swee-do! Pre- BBC Soap- La Pere Lucien Brush- Lider Razor- Swee-Do Blade- astra sp Rinse- Osage Aftershave- Woodbury Balm- Kiehl's Cologne- Ho Hang Club The Swee-Do razor is interesting. It takes a proprietary blade. Basically a standard DE blade, but with a rectangular opening in the center. This makes it seemingly useless. But, happily, it is quite easy to modify a blade to fit. I use a spring stock punch, and pop two side by side holes in the blade. Works great. Why go through the trouble? Mostly because I can, but more importantly, this razor shaves like a dream. I ran out of time yesterday after the gym, so I couldn't shave. The Swee-Do took the two days growth off easy. No irritation, no injuries, and a supernaturally close BBS. Seriously. I cannot recall the last time I had such a fantastic shave. I will be genuinely shocked if it all is grown back in tomorrow. These are the days that make all the experiments and misfires worth it. And speaking of experiments, the brush of the day is an immense boar from Turkey. I bought it mostly for comedy value, because it is truly ugly. But shockingly, it is quite good. And unlike my Simpson, which I was surprised at how small it was, the Lider surprised me because it is so big. All for a price hovering in the $10 ballpark. Pretty cool.
Nice. Now I have an acronym for what many clients have told me! CPA PRAD - Certified Public Accountant Please Remember All Deductions
Steve; That's a great picture. That home made Brush is another work of art, that you work your magic on.
Had a great shave, no irration at all from the Grapefruit shave cream which is a relief because I really like the scent and the performance from TOBS is top notch. The Lucky Tiger AS is a real nice change from the alcohol based AS I usually use. All in all a great citrus shave day.
Ive enjoyed all the other ones I own (Sandalwood, Rose, Avacado and Jermyn St) and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

Sunday morning's action: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 7 Synergy Frost_byte SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Aramis EdT Since I changed my plans for this morning and I didn't use anything mentholated for my shave, tomorrow I intend to go all-out and freeze myself really through and through. The Frost_byte soap has mega-menthol power to it, and does it ever lather easily and richly with darn good skincare. I missed using the Gold Bond this morning, so it's on tap for tomorrow. My Rubby Dubby Doo (almost finished!) is waiting to give me a good additional frigid punch. I hope the Sharp doesn't conk out on me because today it seemed to be getting tired.
Arko April Focus - CJB Kamisori April 4, 2015 - Week 1 Day 7 Prep - Hot shower and towel Brush - Pro 48 Soap - Proraso Green Tub Razor - EJ89l Blade - (3) Post - Alum & Clubman Break from the CJB today due to early morning Saturday meeting as usual. Went back to the EJ89 loaded with the Sharp Star I tried out last week. I really love this blade. Third shave on it, still smooth and sharp. Still haven't figured out a bulk supplier or anything else about it. It's driving me crazy! It's an awesome Russian blade that is proving to be mysterious. Hmmmmm...have a customer named Vlad who keeps calling about a van he wants...I call him the "Mad Russian"....maybe I should ask him?? Any, great two pass DFS and it was a good day. Ready for a day off and a nice leisurely run with the CJB tomorrow to continue working toward perfection! Happy Ostara to everyone....that's Easter to many of you. Hope you have a great weekend. Just a peek at a few of my collection for today's picture.
I would have to agree, a very nice bay rum. Only thing I dont like is the small container it came in. Its difficult to lather from the jar.
