Last week I took early retirement from my 9-5 desk job to become a full-time shaving/grooming advocate. What would you like my role here to be?

I hope you have your health, i dont know why you retired early.

But we have all learned something from your videos. I learned the J-hook and to focus more on the neck when prepping.

I think your role making shaving videos are great, maybe some more product reviews or something =)

Congratulations on your retirement. One hopes your transition from Part Time to Full Time shaving/grooming advocate is an enjoyable one. Have you done any videos on the various new razor companies? Companies like RazoRock, ATT, iKon, and Mongoose. Subjects such as the releases of new razors that last a few hours, the designs of these popular sellers, and the resale of these razors at startling mark ups. Why the sudden popularity of certain types of new DE razors such as Slants, Open Combs, Closed Combs, and Single Edges.

Congratulations on retiring. Your videos have been a great inspiration to me. I find myself using the Gillette Slide and I credit that knowledge to you. Whatever you come up with, I will be happy to read, view, or investigate. Best wishes.

Congratulations on your retirement! We working stiffs are all jealous. I agree that your videos have been a valuable source of info as has your website. The "J-hook" and Gillette Slide are regular parts of my shaving technique.

Obviously you have to enjoy yourself, first and foremost. What can you do here? Just add your 2-cents every once in a while. Your equip reviews are great, too!

    Thanks!

You've made quite a difference in the lives of many, for sure.
After decades of regret with the carts and disposables, I look forward to shaving now, and you helped to get me here.

I hope that you enjoy your retirement, and that you continue to keep us informed on
all the new things that are coming down the wet shaving pike! (both good and bad)
Thanks again, and don't wait so long between visits!!

Mark, I think most folks that came into traditional wet shaving after the year 2000 have probably seen some of your videos, even if they came along after then. If you continued to do what you do, that would be amazing. Your videos add a lot of value to this whole game. I learned how to lather MWF from your videos. If other people, as mentioned above, have gained ANY useful info, it is all for the better.

    Just keep being you dude.

Out of curiosity, what did you retire from?

I'm with the others in replying with "Your role is up to you". You are already far and away the most prominent figure in the traditional wetshaving revival, and have done more than anyone to bring wetshaving to the masses. Given the number of times your videos have been referenced online, and also the number of views, their impact has been both tremendous and tremendously beneficial. Who better than you to determine how your role in wetshaving will evolve?

What will your role here be, and how can we assist you in that role? How do you envision those roles working together within the larger wetshaving community and shaving world outside our community?

Thanks for all your instructions on the tube! I've been doing this DE shaving for almost 1yr and you have been a great help, along with the great folks here, on my journey, to that BBS shave. My suggestion would be do what makes you happy, you are retired, so enjoy it. I'm into only vintage Gillette razors and I'm an OLd Spice junkie so new hardware or AS doesn't interest me. Reviewing new soaps and creams would be nice, and comparing different brushes, could help with future choice. How to videos on refurbishing brushes or cleaning and maintenance of razors would be cool. Always glad to listen and watch what you have to say, so thanks again for that. And sleep in tomorrow :eatdrink047::happy069:
