6 Apr 2015 Soap - CO Bigelow Brush - Turkish #6 Razor - Rockwell Blade - Personna 74* (14) AS - Barbasol Passable shave, sadly the Personna 74* is in the blade bank after 14 shaves and the #6 is still losing hairs at an alarming rate. Oh well tomorrow is another shave!
I'm on the hunt for more... Last night I bid on 3 of them and lost all three. I have a $$ limit that includes shipping. There are two more I'm looking at today. We'll see... (cost wouldn't be so bad if people didn't want twice the actual shipping cost) I also try to get a "brush included" if I can to share the cost per item. Sorry, forgot to quote ObiDon... Post reference to wanting another OS mug...or three.

Opening Day Shave I used Tabac today because it reminds me of my dad, who introduced me to baseball and nurtured my love for the game. I always looked forward to playing catch with him when he got home from work or on the weekends. He taught me everything I know about the game and how to play. Tabac was the soap he used, and the most frequent scent I recall while he shaved. In the photo, the glove his is softball catcher’s mitt from the 1940s, and the one he used whenever we played catch. The shave went well, though I used too much water at first with the soap, Tabac is tolerant and did provide great lather after a bit of work. Der Vorschlaghammer prefers Voskhod blades I think, since the Personna was a bit rougher for all three shaves with it. I used B&M Fougere Classique to see if it matches well with Tabac. I’m not sure it does, but it has a grassy smell that reminds me of summer. I think I like the Cologne Russe better.
Monday Shave Pre: Shower Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech Blade: Fresh Voskhod Cream: Barbon Brush: VDH Boar Post: Barbon Aftershave A nice shave. I always forget how well Barbon products work. Probably the most bang for the buck of all shaving products.
Me too. I really like the adjustability of this razor. I had it set on 1.5 today for a very mild shave and it was considerably different from it set on 3 last shave. It has a great sound too, giving more audible feedback than most other razors in my den. Oh and the grip on the satin finish is good. I can't wait to use it with my right hand.
Tomorrow's shave...today! •Gem G-Bar •coated stainless blade •VDH 2 pass BBS, but scrapey. Blade's done. Lucky Tiger lotion.
Great story. Your story brought back some great memories of my Grandpa in his umpire gear at little league ball games as a kid. He was an Old Spice guy though and its the fragarance that takes me back every time I smell it. Have you tried Tabac AS or EdC ? They are both fantastic products and you get to have that wonderful scent with you most the day.
Cool memories of your grandpa! I have tried and loved both Tabac edt and EdC. I tragically dropped my big bottle of EdC and shattered it. The bathroom smelled amazing, but I have yet to replace it.
