Musgo real Parker best badger 2011 Muhle R41 (Personna blue) Cold water/alum Captain's Choice Lime Today would have been another superb shave courtesy of Sir Muhle (that's right it's been knighted) except I was a dumbass and cut myself by committing the grievous error of letting the razor slide vertically for just a microsecond rather than horizontally in the direction of the shave. The cut was minor and the alum closed it off perfectly, but shows just how a minor lapse and technique/concentration can result in blood. Nevertheless, the rest of the shave was just as smooth and irritation free as I've come to expect from this razor. Happy Wednesday everyone… And happy shaving!
Odin's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint Glycerin-in-a-jar Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (4, 5, 6) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash Cologne: Aoud Forest by Montale (sample) Back-to-back BBS shaves Sunday and Monday left me without much need to shave Tuesday, so I skipped that day. This morning, the Grapefruit Mint whipped up into amazing lather with the Simpson brush, with the RAKE/Bic combo performing as well on its second day as on its first. I had a minuscule weeper on my upper lip from the ATG pass, but that was due to too much buffing on my part. Another BBS shave today, without any discomfort.
