The Haul: April 2015

I need to get that too!!

 

I'm on a business trip to Chicagoland and stopped into a small antique shop today. Walked out with this nice New for $8:00.

 

Picked these up today between meetings.

 

New blue shaving mug with matching brush and a few more brushes on the shelf unit.

 

Does anyone make a cup that holds a puck well and has a lid that doesnt costs too much?

 

I don't know, but I have been considering this one as a starter for me because it is cheap...

 

I got my lid out of the recycle bin.
one of the guys here,@grump, I think. figured out that the lid from Pillsbury cake icing fits the newer old spice mugs.
my mom had made a cake recently, so I dumpster dove it out. been on my mug since.

 

I've seen a couple bowls very similar and about the same price.. But am curious about how well the wood bowls hold up to being wet almost constantly? Definitely very good and classy looking.

 

There isn't a mfg name on it anywhere. Other than its made in England and in really nice shape. The mixed knot feels pretty good. I plan on trying it out tomorrow with one whatever new soap arrived today (haven't opened the boxes yet).

 

I think @HolyRollah bought one of those but I might be wrong.

 

I actually have 3 or 4 of these bowls. Better quality than expected. nicely finished and good size.
I gave each a good rubdown with renaissance wax. No issues with water so far.
I've put my MWF plus other soaps in these bowls...(3 shown in this photo)

 

Thanks @HolyRollah... I'm sold. Next time I see them, I'll get one or two.

 

If you're planning to buy anything else from Amazon you can get them for $8.51 there with free shipping and save a couple of bucks.

 

There's actually a small mom'n'pop store next town over from me that had them for about the same price $8.xx. Otherwise I always buy enough to get free shipping when I buy from Amazon, whether I need it or not.

 

I have one, holds a puck really well with plenty a room to swirl.

Killer haul Kerry. Do you have Razorock The Freedberg? I really want to know how the Executive Man compares to that soap. I guess LMR is legit...everyone seems to have fallen in love with that scent.
