My long weekend haul!
In the back is an original page from the Saturday Evening Post June 13, 1925 featuring the Bostonian razor!
From left to right:
NEW bar handle ( thin handle ) with the reissue number on it making it in the 30's i believe and a brass blade case.
Beige case - 1955 A4 Flair Tip.
White case - 1969 O3 Black Handle Flair Tip.
Old Spice Ship Friendship mug from late 40's or early 50's. Known to have fading issues but I love it!
Red Case - 1949 No code Super Speed. Has Pat Nos on Package.
New Bar Handle with reissue number so 30's again i think.
Ever Ready 1cs lucite badger brush. Very hard to find info on it. Think it's 50's?
In the middle left is a 1963 I1 Slim Adjustable and next to it is a weird one with an octagon shaped handle that the only thing I could find was a Hospital or Doehler Jarvis?
All obtained at antique or second hand/charity shops, most for under $10 except for the Gillette poster which was $17.
BTW, I know the 2 cases for the NEW's aren't right but that is how they had them displayed and sold them that way. They are pretty beat up anyway but most of the razors are in very good condition with very llittle to no brassing on the so they should clean up quite well.
I have a few items that I have questions on and will be photographing and posting better pictures to see if you guys can help me out! With all I have read on here the knowledge level is thru the roof!!! Anything you can help with or point out would be more than welcomed!
Half the fun is in the hunt! The wife actually found the poster behind a bunch of junk and noticed a coupe of the razors in locked cabinets behind jewelry. We had a blast out pickin' all weekend!
I should say that getting the wife to go is easy as it's her business! She owns a consignment/resale/repurposing store so she is always on the hunt for deals for the store and she has a heck of an eye for hidden treasures and deals.
P.S. Hope I posted this in the right place!
