In an effort to get to know more people around here, and even perhaps get some challenges going I pose this question: What Games Do YOU Play? I am not talking so much video games (they are obviously not discouraged though) but I am talking good old fashioned board games. Chess and the like. Who knows, maybe some of us could hook up at some point and play online! The possibilities are endless.. and you might find a good player hiding amongst the shavers! I'll start, I am a fan of Chess and cards (Poker) but I really starting to get into the game of Go. I have played Go a number of times and know the rules but I am thinking of really getting into it. Maybe I'll even drop some money for some high quality Go Stones and a nice board if I start playing often enough. So come on people.. what games do YOU play?
Only two really- Cribbage every day at lunch and Backgammon with the kids every chance I get. Never tried playing either online, don't think that would appeal to me but who knows?
Chess, though I haven't played in awhile and probably really rusty. Poker of course. Guitar Hero 3 and Madden 08
I like to play chess, and Texas Hold-em. I'm by know means a champion at either one. I used to play an online golf game on nabiscoworld.com. Besides that, I like playing Fear, Assassin's Creed, Madden 08', and any Total War game.
I enjoy my video games, but i've always enjoyed a good game of chess. It seems finding someone to play is getting harder as I get older.
I use to play Dark Age of Camelot. I use to have ALOT of high level characters. Im not really playing anything at this time.
I am more of the shoot them and blow them up games. I really like Forza Motorsports. I have been login in a lot of hours at Nurburgring aka The Ring. I also like chess but I am a bit rusty. Raf
Haven't done that in many many years. I used to shoot trap with 12 gauge custom 1 oz loads. I used to play cribbage with my grandfather all the time, Hearts and Backgammon in college and chess in high school. I play Pai Gow (I know, old ladies game) PS2 Video Games with my daughter. I did complete for myself Dragonquest VIII for PS2 at level 99 for all 4 characters, completed all endings and found every monster. Talk about a grind. We're working on X-Men Legends, Tekken 5 and Godzilla: Save the Earth.
Hi All, Up till a few years ago, I was playing a LOT of online cards. This had been going on for almost three years.......playing with a group of other 'regulars' who shared the same interests in games as myself. It's a small site, and I became (and still am) friends with a bunch of those members. Although I rarely ever play now, I will still log on and schmooze with people in the lobby. There's hearts, spades, bridge, crib, and even euchre(shudder). I learned cribbage there and played that quite a bit for a few years. Very subtle game, I found out. I may start playing that again...........pretty good game. Well, my game of choice is called 'Pitch' or 'Setback'. I'd bet most of you have never heard of that game, which is probably for the best.....heh. From what I understand it's mostly an East Coast game, and many of the players ARE from that area. It's got bidding and trump...only six cards dealt in a hand, and it's fast moving and devious. Yeah........you don't know me of course, but it's the devious part that appeals to me. I prefer stopping someone from making their point, instead of me making my own, if that makes sense at all. Anyway, thought I'd share that tawdry part of my life with y'all........heh. Martin Oh Chris? After practicing crib a while with bots and members in practice games, I started out on my own. The second 'for real' game I ever played I got a 28. Of course I was brand new and thought it no big deal..........hehe. Well, 5000 hands later I still hadn't gotten another one. However, after playing another 2000 hands more or so, one day magic struck! Yeah, I was dealt 3 5's and the J of clubs. You know what card was turned over don't you? Yep.......the 5 of clubs. My one and only 29.
I rubbish at chess. Good at draughts. Racing sailing dinghies is my thing though I haven't done so for a while. Warzone 2100 is my favourite video game
Old ladies, nothing! This is THE best (ie cheapest) way to stay seated at a table in Las Vegas, where the drinks will magically arrive every 7-10 minutes, brought by a girl wearing very little. Its simple to learn, and its not too hard to get a seat.
Shut up !! I finally figgered out this wasnt a video game - based thread GOLF is the ONLY game. nuff said. Finis. Over. Done.
