Spring has finally sprung here in Montreal - nice weather has finally arrived!

Here's my shaving plan to usher in a new week.

Menthol Monday:

As I said recently, the Stirling Glacial soaps will always have a special place in my heart because of their wonderful quality and the Lavender is my number one favourite. I absolutely love its scent, which is so beautiful and unhampered by the powerful menthol which it contains. The freezing effect hits immediately when you begin lathering up and gets stronger and stronger - come to think of it, these Glacials are only a small step behind the Chiseled Face Cryogen soap. The Gold Bond/Glacial Wintergreen duo are ready to add lots of awesome soothing comfort, as well as incredible frigidness to my face afterwards. I'm anxious to see how these Personna blades perform.

This will be the first time I've lathered Arko off a puck. I've got a puck airing out right now. For the last two weeks, I have used Arko as a shave stick using both my badger and boar brushes. The shaves have been great, but the boar brush seems to create a better face lather. If I don't skimp on the soap (glycerin), water, and brush time, the resulting lather is possibly the best (in terms of performance) I've ever had. The Arko scent also seems to fade with use.

I will apply T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel after my morning shave.

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC4 High Mountain Badger Brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This is the third shave of the second phase of Adjustable Month.

My face is so smooth from todays shave I could probably skip tomorrow but would hate to miss a Menthol Monday. This will be the first time trying the orange menthol soap. It smells great just don't know how cold it will be.

Back to school shave
Spring Break is over. The rest of the year seems to fly by after this. The only thing now is to finish up the AP content and review like crazy.
Superlative shave! Der vorschlaghammer was more than a match for two days growth. Lavanille whipped easily into protective yogurt lather, thanks to my HIS brush. Cologne Russe is an excellent compliment to Lavanille. My face feels very smooth and comfortable with no drama.

This wave MR5 handle has changed the way I shave for the good, I used to hold the handle towards the bottom and let the weight of the head do the work. Now I hold the razor at the top wave, I have more control over the pressure I'm applying. Absolutely no irritation!
Arko bombed! Excellent!!! Milk. Love it! My Ever-Ready 150 is a piece of art. I'm not sure if I should be using it, or sending it to the shaving museum of America..

today's shave was very cool. I bombed bigelow, whipped it up with the bb ace. sliced it away with three passes of the 101. and washed up with Osage rubby dubby do. very close, very cool shave.

I need to order more Lord SC. For me, it works exceedingly well, has pleasant scent, a nice cooling effect AND treats my face so very well. Wonderful shave today.

A great start to the work week! Chico and I missed the downpour this morning by about 10 minutes on our daily walk. I know Chico was happy about it as he HATES to get rained on. But he loves playing in water. It’s a conundrum lol

A couple of new things going on today. I’m breaking out a new soap AND a new blade! I usually try not to introduce multiple new items into my shave at the same time, but since both of these items came highly recommended from a fellow shaver whose opinion I trust (thanks Hugo G.!), I was feeling pretty confident about doing it....

Happy Monday. Made two passes with the CJB today. No nicks/weepers or any other issues. Left my face DFS, my neck CCS. Rather than work the third pass and risk mortal injury I picked up the SS and finished it off to DFS all over. Happy with the two passes I got with the CJB and will probably follow this pattern for the rest of the month looking to improve the second pass. It's all just a matter of grip and angle.
