Maybe after today my world can turn to something more normal. Fantastic 2 pass shave this morning. Using a shim with a new Feather Pro yielded on of my best shaves. Enjoyed the Catie's Bubbles which proved to be very slick. Paired with the Captain's Choice Sandalwood AS, I feel ready to tackle the crazy day ahead.
4/15/16 Prep: warm wash Lather: St. James of London Mandarin & Patchouli Brush: Vie-Long 13061M Razor: Gillette New SC Blade: Rapira Stainless (3) Post: Old Spice Back to warm shaving. I tried the cold water route for a week and just don't feel any benefit. I prefer warmth. I also wanted to use the Vie-Long brush because I've been reading of some of the disappointment expressed by folks trying horsehair brushes. I've never had a tangle and after the first week, I think this brush is as soft as any that I've used. I've owned this brush for over a year and use it almost every other day. I use it for bowl and face lathering. I just give it a two or three minute soak and it is soft and makes a nice slick lather every time.
Yeah, not a big fan of a cold water shave, although I'm new to this and may give it a shot at the peak of summer heat. But definitely prefer a nice hot shave, warm rinse and then a really cold final rinse.
MDC week Another fine shave with MDC today. I nicked my ear on the third pass and had a heck of a time getting it to stop. alum wouldn't stop it, a styptic pencil wouldn't stop it either. I ended up globbing on some vaseline which did stop it. Still, it was a wonderful shave with great results. MDC Lavender Rapira Swedish blade slim adjustable

WEDNESDAY Another rare 'DE razor' sighting! Quick n' easy shave this morning as I decided to forego a SR shave. Grabbed the cadet and had a fairly-rapid 3-pass shave. Less than 15 minutes from start to finish. Too much coffee this morn! Have a blessed HumpDay all!
