Great 2 pass shave. The little Simpson brush worked like a champ. 10 seconds on the soap and face lathered perfectly. The Myrsol post shave has left my face feeling smooth all day.

SOTD 4-15-15

Razor: ATT M2 head on a Maggard MR1 handle
Blade: Platinum Lux (new)
Soap: Cella Red tub (1st time trying from tub)
Bowl: VDH
Brush: Tweezerman badger (I think)
Post: Gentleman Jon Alum block

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry! Added the Alum block!

Razor: Tried out the ATT M2 head on the MR1 handle.

Blade: Put a new one it today. I am liking this blade alot. I like it just as much if not more than my go-to Astra SP.

Soap: This is the first time I used the Cella in the Red tub. It's very easy to lather and gives very good protection just like the Cella from the kilo block. No issues at all with it.

Comments: Shave was very good, I did manage to get a DFS but not quite a BBS. No nicks but a little irritation based on the Alum block feedback. I think the irritation was caused by me forgotting that I was using an open comb plate and not the R89 that has more blade exposure and pressed it a bit hard in the neck area. Not quite as smooth as the R89 either but not too much irritation but there was some.

Now I get it
I've been using Fougère products for a while without really appreciating the scent. It was never offensive or enough to make me stop since the performance was always there. Usually, I shake up any aftershave slash to recombine ingredients, but today I realized that if I don't shake up B&M Fougère Classique, the scent is more pleasing to me. It might be placebo, but the scent seemed softer and more welcoming today. It is an excellent compliment to Fougère Imperiale, and my face feels great.
I've been guilty of giving up on a soap or aftershave very quickly, and I'm glad I kept at it this time.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, after this shave with the Glacial Obsidian soap and using the Alcolado Glacial splash I felt like I was outdoors in Siberia in January - what a great freeze!
