850 seems kind of steep for that small of a repair but hope everything gets worked out for you. I know how much it sucks when one thing breaks which is bad enough and then something else goes wrong....not a good feeling at all.
My wife's home. Life is back to normal. I'll be making dinner tonight, chicken legs and thighs in a Dutch oven, smashed potatoes with my new secret recipe! I add a can of cream of mushroom soap. Fantastic! I'm deciding between Broccoli or Asparagus as a side dish.
I've come to almost be proud of that scent. It means I've eaten a good amount of asparagus which is always a good thing. The last time I cooked it I probably ate half the bundle by myself.
Got 2 miles from work on the way home tonight, and my phone rang. I just knew I shouldn't answer. Lead electrician called. Contractor has been pulling control cable from outside in the switchyard to a large terminal cabinet in the plant. There are 148 runs in all, 120 of them longer than 500 feet. Job is 90% complete, and the lead electrician doesn't like the looks of the cable. Good eye Joe! Almost 100 runs already pulled in are the wrong type of cable. The engineer assigned to oversee this job is nowhere to be found. So I was elected to go back into work tomorrow morning and oversee the removal of this cable.
when it rains, it pours (and not just because of the tornado warning/severe thunderstorm warning/flash flood warning that just occured...) so, besides the home A/C out of commission for the time being, wife and I were about to head to the "local" movie theater (30 miles away), when the "Engine Hot A/C Off" message popped up on her vehicle. What in the world? The temperature gauge says it's....wait, that can't be right, 160? That's bottomed out, as low as it goes. That ain't right, either, it's got to be warmer than that...and why is it saying engine hot? Turned around, came home, got my ODBII....hmmm, ~210 degrees, normal. Weird. So, onto some exhausting research...could be the thermostat, could be the thermistor, could be a sensor, could be the now leaking/water logged sunroof shorting something.....uggh. With no money to pay someone to look at it, and no time tomorrow to mess work on it - gotta drive to near Dallas to see kids in state Bible drill competition (guess we'll be taking my truck), so no daylight left then. BGGDDAAA
That's what I'm thinking. Found a site where some one showed how to clear them on a Saturn outlook, a sister car to this Acadia, so I'll try that Sunday
I had a clogged drain on a Camry sunroof. There were small drain holes in the front corners of the sunroof well. I just ran a length or weedeater string down the plugged one and cleared it.
Whew........ The lost engineer has been found, and I'm back home. I've a feeling we're going to be permanently short 1 engineer come Monday. Anyway, I'm glad to have most of my weekend back! Happy Shaving everybody!!
Feeling very naked being out and about today without my phone that I believe is resting comfortably on my bed at home. I think phones have become the cigarette of the 21st century
Is that like one of those dreams where you're giving a presentation to class and realize that you're naked?
