My son's pitching start got moved to Monday afternoon as today's game was a non-league game (doesn't count towards playoffs). Great sunny day but we lost...... He pinch hit in the 7th. That's him flying out to LF

    Saturday Shave

    Pre #1: Shower
    Pre #2: Noxzema
Razor: Merkur OC head on Cadet handle - Best Frankenrazor ever
    Blade: Shark
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Tabac
    Post: Gameday

I hadn't shaved in about 4 days so I decided to thrown on some Noxzema as a pre and use and OC today. It was a nice shave, almost an unintentional BBS. I think one of the things I like about DE shaving is that if I use a cartridge razor half-assed, I get a very half-assed shave. If I use a DE half-assed, I still can get a really good shave. I really am not a fan of Noxzema, but I'm trying to get rid of what I've got. People like to say Proraso Pre is the same as Noxzema, but it's not. Noxzema leaves a slick in the water when I shave, whereas Proraso Pre doesn't.

    For Sunday morning:

    Nivea Facial Wash
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 7
    Stirling Barbershop SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Brut AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

This will be my first time using a Stirling soap without any menthol. This Barbershop has a scent which I absolutely LOVE, because it's so old-school and nice. As was the case with the Frozen Tundra soap this morning, I haven't yet test-lathered this new soap yet but I have no doubts that it'll perform beautifully for me! ;) :D

    Prep - Shower / Pre-lather / 3 min steam towel
    Razor - Gillette Slim Adjustable
    Blade - Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum Black (#3)
    Brush - Omega 20106
    Soap - Arko
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH mix
    Result - BBS

Well I tried a more aggressive setting with the 7 O'clock black and although in its third shave, it certainly suited number nine on the Slim. Had been taking it easy as its a new blade to me but I still ended up as smooth as ever.
I will however not be venturing into the black again. On the first pass WTG, I'm not getting as satisfactory results as I've gotten from nearly every other blade I've tried. I'm having to touch up too much XTG and ATG, and feel around my face for stray hairs. Even in the Techs, I've still been left with slightly irritated skin afterwards. When other blades like Perma-Sharps and GSB's deliver the results that they do, especially in the comfort score, this one just doesn't rate highly enough to bother with again. Definitely good to get trying them finally though.

    Dove Men Face Wash
Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap
    Omega Pro 49 boar brush
    '62 Gillette Slim
    Rapira Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Classic Vanilla

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Omega Pro 49 boar brush. Two passes with my '62 Gillette Slim razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Classic Vanilla after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Post - Alum & The Veg

Saturday again. Early start, busiest day of the week so it's grab the SS and give it two passes today. With the Super Max Platinum two is all it took to get DFS all over with no nicks, cuts or other problems. Alum was quiet, especially compared to my days with the CJB and The Veg had me all fresh and feeling great to hit the road. Must be my lucky scent too as the first customer of the day was a perfect lay down on the car. Drove it, paid asking price for it and got off the lot fast, easy and satisfied. The power of the Mighty Veg!

    Schick Injector type J razor
    Schick blade (3)
GEO F Trumper's Limes shaving cream
    Captains Choice Lime aftershave
    Royall Lime AS Cologne

Will be the first time trying a GEO F Trumper's shaving cream. It smells pretty good, just not as heavily lime scented as Castle Forbes limes. It actually reminds me of TOBS Avacado with a lime scent added. Im expecting another great shave from the Schick.

    Homemade PS Oil
    Vie-long Horsehair Brush
TSD Wheat Shaving Cream Lavender & Rose
FB w/Gillette Platinum set on 7
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Florida Water

Today was the day I looked through my soaps and creams and AS and found some I hadn't used in a while. I like the TSD cream and love the scent. Provided a great shave this morning. I usually like to use the Florida Water on days when I am home, and since I am working a shutdown, this hasn't been the case, so I went for it today. A good start to a Sunday, even if I am heading to work.

    Rhapsody and Russe Sunday
Another excellent shave with rhapsody and Russe. Optimal lather supplied by my HIS brush set up my stubble for its fate. My Aristocrat smoothly removed them without drama. It's a really great shaver - forgiving and efficient.

    Soap: B&M Rhapsody
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: 1948 Gillette Aristocrat
