I have all kinds of soap. Just look at my "Ever Changing Shave Den"
But coming down to think about it. I like either the Van der Hagen Soaps (all of them) or the Williams Shave Mug Soaps. I do have many soaps, but the soap I choose to take with me when I travel is either a VDH or my VDH-Williams mixture. I have some it mixed together in a Glad Ware Lock-ware Container. in my travel shaving kit. If it gets lost I'm not out a lot of money.

Where did you find the Kirk's Castile Soap, I used to use it all the time but have not seen it in the market or drug store by my house since the closed the store and became an Albertson's and that has since closed.

Ron, I hope you get some back pain relief. I've been there, and I know what you're experiencing. Take care of yourself.

Tribute to Crackstar (our Menthol God) Shave:

Catie´s Bubbles Mile High Menthol // Plisson Sythetic // Rotbart Mond Extra No. 15 // Feather Blade // Anherb Aftershave Conditioner

I wanted to shave with a Kamisori, which is a loan from a member in our German Forum...now i´m sad to say, that my skin has been very irritated the whole weekend, so i had to use a trusted DE-Razor. This was the time my Rotbart came into play. He has done a terrific job. The Mile High Menthol has a very good amount of menthol in it (for me a bit more than the green Proraso or the Palmolive Rinfrescante). The skincare is great as well as the lather. Smells fantastic. Last but not least, the Anherb...wonderful stuff. Cool, moisturizing and with a lovely smell.

Hope all of you are doing well, hope everyone of you is healthy. Have a great time and enjoy your shaves.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

I found that when we would go see my Father-in-Law in Yuma, before he died, that when we were there visiting him my back and neck never bothered me. But as soon as we got back in San Diego, the sea air and dampness played hell on me. So in the next 6 months to a year we are going to move to Yuma, area of Arizona.

Patrick, I found it in it local King Sooper/Kroger store. The wife was pondering something in that aisle and I looked over and saw a 3 pack and threw it in the cart.

Sounds like you have just about the same as I do. 6 herniated disks, inched nerves in both the low back and neck. Concrete comes awful fast from the top of a Semi, Tractor Trailer rig. Trying to fix a light and Hydraulic leak in the rain.

Just finished a excellant shave. Each item in the lineup was perfect and perfectly complemented each other. I could have easily stopped after one pass but there was way too much lather to waste. Three full passes and a healthy dose of CC Lime with almost no burn, which usually the Captain offers. If you haven't tried CC Lime you should. It's got a great and complex scent that is not just lime but some spicey other notes that make it one of my faves.

Glad you mentioned it as I had forgot it was on my planned list. It is listed as an aftershave lotion and body cologne but it does not come across as heavily scented as their other edt (Royall Rugby). It does have a punjent lime kick to start but settles down quickly with an old spice kinda scent. I envision it similar to Old Spice Lime which I havent tried.

PS. My Golden Retriever just gave me a huge slobbery kiss so it must be good stuff.....or she's hungry. :chores016:
