Tuesday morning's plans: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 2 Stirling Frozen Tundra SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash Chabrawichi 555 Cologne A small step down in the menthol level, but still a very cold shave on tap for me - the Frozen Tundra has a great scent which right away lets you know that it's a very mentholated soap. Although the lather is a bit slow to start building, once you get it going it becomes very rich, thick, and slick with great blade glide and wonderful skincare. I absolutely love the Gold Bond's extra cooling feeling, and a couple of splashes of the Penguin are a terrific way to end a terrific shave.

Because Mr. Crackstar is getting impatient or more SOTD.... SOTD - TUESDAY, APRIL 28 Razor: 1958 Gillette Executive (24kt gold plated) Blade: Astra SP (1) Brush: Whipped Dog Butterscotch Silvertip Bowl: Pfaltzgraff Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush Still really enjoying my Executive. This morning I only needed a very quick 2 pass shave (XTG, ATG) because yesterday’s shave was so close. Looking forward to using the Sharp Dressed Man again. IMO it’s a bit tough to get a lather started, but once started it creates plenty and has a wonderful slickness to it. I wish the scent lasted a bit longer.

27apr15 Schick L5 Revere Schick plus platinum (2) Williams mug soap Surrey(?) Brush Aqua Velva ice blue AS Another damn smooth/easy shave with the Schick. This thing just glides over my face with no effort at all. No dragging, nicks, scrapes, or stinging! If I didn't get a smoother(face) shave and like the DE razors so much, I'd be hooked on these guys. I just got the Surrey mug and brush yesterday, had to give them a run today. The brush is an excellent brush and will be used regularly. The mug on the other hand, while very nice and a new collector item I'll be looking for, is too deep for a comfortable handle on the brush while lathering... A long handle brush would be better.
I have always had trouble getting anything close to a lather with Stirling soaps. It is the coldest thing in my den but Ive got too many great products to waste any more time with it. I know Im in the minority on this but I'll take my Vostok any day.
