Anyone tried Baum.BE shaving cream?

I heard it's supposed to be really good stuff. You can't get a sample of the shaving cream though, just the aftershave. I was wondering if anyone here can confirm if it's as good as the hype?

Well I tried it and it is the best I have used so far, it was better than MEM and Speick, it lathers the best out of all three and leaves my face feeling more moisturized afterwards than the aforementioned two.

I don't know why nobody chimes in on this particular shaving cream.

I just googled it, and I think we're the only shave forum on the earth that doesn't have threads or reviews of it lol. We are in some kind of Baum.BE desert here.

It's rather commonly referred to on European forums and people seem to really like it

 

It's hard to find in the US. Only two places have it and they have been out for a bit.

 

Everywhere that has anything to do with shaving except for, mysteriously, this forum

 

Looks like nice stuff, but on the more expensive side for me. I am a huge fan of Arko stick so you might be able to understand .

 

That's because this forum has to do with comradery. Oh, yeah, sure, shaving gets mentioned every once in a while.


Just messin'. TSD is the only forum I read.

 

The viral marketing folks decided to spare us this time maybe? Seriously, I have not seen it offered for sale or mentioned anywhere on the other forums or blogs. It is likely the case that it is not that popular. If you are looking for a great shaving cream, there are plenty of other, more widely available options. Kiss My Face is one, a truly outstanding product. Proraso and Erasmic are other top-notch creams. Even Pacific Shaving Co. Caffeinated Shaving Cream is great, albeit a little on the expensive side.

According to Traditional Shaving Evangelist's review, it is pretty good. At $32 per jar from Straight Razor Designs, it is also pretty expensive, right up there with Art of Shaving cream. What is really good, on the other hand, are Traditional Shaving Evangelist's YouTube video channel. That guy is great!

 

IMO it is the only one worth reading, beside TSR. Not that the other forums do not have decent people but let us remain civilised.
