I've only tried their EdT in a small sample packet...and I loved it.

Sunday 5/3 I had not shaved for 3 days and finally developed a 5 o'clock shadow. The previous day I got sunburned. No problems, no pain shaving over the burn.

    Dorco ST-301 blade

    Prep - Shower / Pre-lather / 3 min steam towel
    Razor - Gillette Rocket HD
    Blade - Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless Green (#2)
    Brush - Omega 20106
    Soap - Arko
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH mix
    Result - BBS

Really surprised by the green 7 O'Clock blade tonight, after having used the black before it. In comfort and forgiveness, I'd rate it beside an Astra SP but we'll have to see what longevity is like.
The Rocket is my favourite DE but it's been known to bite, so I was slightly cautious but the second shave with it was nearly as comfortable as a 1912 with a GEM blade on its second shave. I realise I'm lucky to be getting BBS every shave but since I'm still working through my original trial blades again, it's not something I was expecting. I'm looking forward to shave number three with the green.

Monday 5/4 I tried the BIC blade again. It was very uncomfortable. Finished up with a Dorco ST-300 blade which was much better. Yesterday I used a Dorco STD301 blade

I purchased a blade "assortment". The difference between the Dorco ST-300 and STD-301 blade is, the 301 comes in a plastic dispenser. That is a lame difference.

STD301. They really could have put more thought into the name. Like, what kind of diseases are you gonna get from that thing?

Razor: ATT H1 plate with MR1 handle
    Blade: Platinum Lux (4)
    Soap: WSP Vetiver
    Bowl: Shaveworks
    Brush: Tweezerman
    Post: Gentleman Jon Alum block

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry, then apply the alum block

Razor: As usual, no complaints! I am liking the H! plate alot!

Blade: This is a very good blade and one of my main go-to's so no issues at all!

Soap: First time with this soap and I think I like it. It lathered easy and got plenty of it for my three passes and almost no touch up. Great slickness and protection! Post shave feel is real good! The scent seems very mild to me to the point where I can't really even notice it even right from the puck at first sniff but I prefer mild strength scents! No issues at all!

Bowl: I wish the bowl I picked up was wide enough at the bottom to hold a puck or sample size puck for trying out soaps. I didnt think about that when purchased and regret it. Not sure if one like that is available or not!

Comments: Shave was very good and very close. I got a DFS easily and a BBS on most places but part of the neck area. No nick or irritation based on the Aum block. Another very good shave with no issues!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I will skip the glycerin for the next few shaves to see how the MdC performs without it. I've gotten into the habit of using glycerin with every soap or cream in my rotation. Maybe it's time to back off and see if I can learn something from it. :happy088:

Are you filling the bowl up with warm water and letting the bowl absorb heat before making the lather (after pouring out the water)?

This sounds wonderful. I have no doubt that you both built some great memories today. :happy088:

P.S. I hope you're able to get proper rest with all the extra time you are spending at work with your maintenance shutdown. Stay safe!

    Dove Men Face Wash
TOBS St. James Collection (first shave)
    Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip
    Schick E2
    Personna Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    FD Old Spice

This will be my first shave with the TOBS St. James Collection. I got it in a pif by @Redrock. The TOBS St. James Collection Luxury shaving cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip badger brush. The cream has a very pleasant scent. Two passes with my Schick E2 razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then FD Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is about all I can say about how this shave will be. I have my new Glacial Obsidian puck ready for action and I can't wait to get started on it. I sniffed it before and it has that same black licorice scent which I love that's very similar to the Black Ice soap, only the Obsidian is about ten times more strongly-mentholated. Its skincare cannot be beaten - after a shave, not only is your face frozen from the menthol, it feels so smooth and comfortable. A nice massage with the Gold Bond moisturizer and a couple of splashes of the Rubby Dubby Doo will make me good to go! ;) :D

    Semogue SOC boar brush
    Myrsol Emulsion pre-shave
Shannon's Soaps Silk Pajamas shaving soap
    Myrsol Emulsion post shave
    Tabac EdC

This will be the seventh shave on this Schick injector blade with no signs of slowing down. Im confident I'll get 10 shaves from it. Ive only used the silk pajamas soap once and can't remember much about it. I haven't used anything but Tabac shaving soap on a Tuesday since getting it.:D:D

Yes, I am and the bowl works fine. I just wish it was a bit wider at the bottom to accommedate a puck or the TSD sample's!

The issue is that if you use that technique with a full bowl of water, your soap will be used up at a more rapid rate than if it were in a separate container.
