I've been planning a purchase of some TSD aftershave and see the aftershave milk and the splash. Ok, maybe a dumb question, but what's the difference? What makes one milk and the other splash other than the milk color?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but i always have found that milks are a lot easier on the skin and offer a lot more moisture and moisturizing properties to the skin than splashes do. Splashes usually contain a lot of alcohol that will dry the skin. I myself enjoy applying a good balm or milk, let that settle into my skin then just before I hit the door for the day I give myself a good splash!
that's a good answer. the milk seems to provide better protection and moisture than the splash. I use the splash as more of an astringent like witch hazel. I know a lot of ppl on here use more Milk/balms in the colder months
As far as TSD shop Milk goes I highly recommend Subzero, Iced Subzero. I like to apply ISZ on my freshly shaved head. I have a couple of JoAnna's aftershaves also, they're fantastic! I have Iced Floid Blue Type and Iced Ying Yang, both are great, the Ying Yang is super nice. I've yet to come across an offering from the Shop that I didn't love.
Thanks for the answers. I thought that was probably the case...milk is more moisturizing than the aftershave. I just haven't seen too many other aftershave milks around.
Maybe a white russian? It's a bit heavy on the alcohol but the milk has a nice moisturizing effect. It's Матушка Россия in a glass. Literally.
+1 And I'll also throw out a shameless little plug for TSD here. IMHO, their the best milk I've tried in terms of both skin soothing and fragrance quality. Even got my brother hooked on them.
