SOTD May 5, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 w/MR5 handle Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel Brush: Olive Wood Finest 22/50mm Lather: Pré de Provence No 63 Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH. Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Muir First time using PdP no 63, I had PdP some time ago and don't care for it, this time is different, much different. Very easy to lather, the scent.. Very complicated, peppery, citrus, woody cedar, tobacco. Awesome! I'll use this soap again tomorrow as I want to see how the post shave is. F&C Muir matches perfectly with PdP no 63. Go out and get it
5/8 TI Sapone Di Paolo homemade brush, Shavemac finest silver tip knot Excellent shave today. Have a good one.
05/5/2015 Razor – Mongoose B2 with Jürgen Hempel Ti Blade –Feather Super Pro (9) Brush –Rudy Vey with TGN Finest Lather – TSD Yin Yang Post - Witch Hazel and Myrsol Limon Sample Fantastic near BBS 2 pass shave with touch ups this morning. This was the first time I have used the TSD soap. The scent was very impressive with a mixture of lime and lavender. The soap was very easy to lather and super slick. Finished off the shave with witch hazel and a splash of Myrsol Limon Aftershave from a sampler pack. The combination of the TSD soap and Myrsol made for a fantastic post shave feel.
5/5/15 Early morning after a late night shave - I got home from our FFA Career Development Events last night about 12:30 a.m. and well, someone has to teach those kids today, so rolling back out after about 5 hours of sleep. Fortunately I have good stuff! Prep: warm wash Lather: Dusy Kabinett Brush: TGN Finest Razor: Gillette New SC Blade: Rapira Lux (3) Post: Old Spice Pure Sport 2 passes somewhat near my face and I'm as ready to face the day as I can be. Oh yeah, the Ag Mechanics team was in the top 3 out of 60 and the Horse Evaluation team was in the top 6 out of 100 teams. Great kids, despite their teacher.
•Gillette Trac II cart on generic handle •Schick Hydro gel My second two pass BBS shave with this cart, but no nicks this time. A perfect, comfortable shave. I want to see how many I can get out of cart.
Congrats on you and your kids awesome team showings! Wasn't even sure FFA still existed?! Grew up in Chicago but moved to rural area when my kids were small and FFA were some of their favorite classes. Learned a lot about Ag, animal care and equipment operation and maintenance. Should be a requirement in ALL schools.
Thanks! FFA is thriving with over 600,000 members nationwide! People will always need to eat and for the most part wear clothes, so agriculture and FFA continues to be important.

So for last nights shave I used the following gear. Wilkinson sword classic razors Voshkod blade (3) Nivea sensitive cream omega 10049 boar brush Crusella Kolonia 1800 Eau de Cologne- this is labeled as cologne but is aftershave strength, very pleasant but short lived scent.- also on the second splash of aftershave shave I added a couple small drops of olive oil for moisture. I have been experimenting with this and it seems to work pretty well, it does not leave my face oily. I got the inspiration when I realized a fair number of aftershaves contain castor oil and after having tried shaving with olive oil alone a few times. This was my 5th shave with the wilkinson sword razor, the first 4 were with a wilkinson sword blade. This shave was better, in fact it was an acceptable shave but not great. It was more comfortable than with the wilkinson blade.

SOTD: Tuesday, May 5 No Picture today, you all know what products I am using. (shave 18/30) Soap: MdC Brain Bowl Brush: Simpson 2 "Chubby" Synthetic Razor: Feather AS-D2 Blade: Personna Med Prep (4) Aftershave: Floïd Blue Have a great day!
Starting off in Italy and finishing in Spain on this shave... The razor is the Weber Classic with the Bulldog handle. I went over to the Weber website to make sure I got the name right and I noticed that they are no longer selling heads. That's too bad as the Weber razor is my all-time favorite!! I will be using a Feather blade. The Floïd Genuine aftershave is also my favorite aftershave. I really like the modest Frank Shaving best badger since it is such a good all-around brush. Hope you have a great day! Lyndon
Hi Lyndon! I still have the brush I won from a PIF of yours 16 months ago. Good seeing you here. Kerry
Thanks Kerry, I have been very busy at work over the last year so I haven't had very much free time. I have really been enjoying my shaves every day but I kinda missed all you guys. It's good to be back! I did some spring cleaning today and I organized a lot of my shave gear. I have some nice razors to sell but I will be giving quite a bit of stuff away in future PIFs.
