WEDNESDAY Another fine early morning 3-pass shave, this time lather applied with the little Wee Scot brush—an effective brush despite it getting lost in the lather at times! Have a great Hump Day, all!

The TSD Signature is a very interesting take on Bay Rum that I really enjoyed. Again the lather was very slick with nice post shave feel. Finished off with a splash of CC Bay Rum which paired nicely with the soap.

Soap: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Razor: R-89 with Nacet blade - I only made 1 pass WTG (didn't seem to shave good) and then when I began my ATG pass, I had to change it to a Blue Bird blade. This did much much much better, but it still isn't up to the Super Iridium level for me. I still wanna try several other blades. Post: Lemon Witchazel, Osage Rub, and Aqua Velva Musk Cologne: Jovan Musk splash on with a little Tommy Hilfiger on my shirt collar While the Blue Bird blade did get my face to a DFS with no razor burn, any more and I feel like it would irritate my face. I left my neck at a CCS. This morning really helped to show me that a variety of blades, perhaps, is the best investment a newb DE shaver could make. The blades really have significant impact on the closeness and smoothness of the shave, but also the quality of the shave by not irritating the skin. So far the Super Iridiums are by far the best blade for me. The Gillette Blue Silver (or Silver Blue) and the Bic blades are sharp but I can't get more than 2 - 3 shaves out of them without irritating my skin. The Blue Silver blade was much smoother for me than the Bic. The Blue Bird seems ok but has my face burning slightly and didn't get BBS that I've been getting with the others. I don't plan on using the Nacet blades anymore.

Hi, Mike. I found the WR1-SB to be a bit aggressive for me, so I had James reduce the blade gap by .006mm and it has improved the shave, quite a bit, but I think it could still use a bit less of a blade gap. I tend to prefer more milder DEs. I still enjoy the shaves with the modified version, but I still have to be a bit careful. They are beautifully machined DEs and I hope you enjoy yours.
