    Thoughts?
I shaved with it this morning for the first time, with a once used SilverBlue (after the first use I find the second use is the smoothest shave I get). Very loud. Three pass (1WTG, 2XTG and some touchup), not quite a DFS but close (though I am still searching for that BBS) and will probably improve with use. Minimial irritation. Just not sure yet.

Don't chase the baby, the baby will find you.

I wish it were that simple. For employment purposes I have to try not to have a 5 O'clock shadow at 230.

Just work up to it first, though! The little rascal has teeth and does not take kindly to rough handling!

Technique is the key to success! You have the right tool, the 102 slant is an excellent razor. Keep at it.

I have been using my 102 for 3 months now and find for me the best shave is with a feather blade. No irritation, nicks and BBS. No pressure at all and rinse frequently.. Hope you enjoy yours as I do mine.

Play around with different blades and stick with one soap or cream you feel gives you great protection.

The 102 is the only slant I like. It is efficient if you get the hang of it. Takes me 3 passes for a BBS. WTG-XTG-ATG. Good luck. :)

I've never tried a slant but this one appears to be the best priced. Am I correct?

I believe the merkur 37c is at $45. So it's a little cheaper. A blemished ikon was running for $55.

Great question. IMO. Only My opinion. No. I can get the same shave with my Edwin Jagger DE89 as I do with my iKon SC102 or ATTS1.

So not a huge difference in shave?

This falls iunder the YMMV. Kind of like blades. Some love them and some don't. I like a regular razor better. But a slant can get me a great shave in 2 passes. I'll grab it if I'm in a hurry. Or grab the R41. :)

Then let me ask you. I've never tried a Muhle. Am I missing something?

R41? No. Aggressive. Efficient. Not forgiving.
