    Saturday Morning Planned Shave
    Razor: Feather AC-SS
Blade: Kai Titan Mild Pro touch MG (D7)
    Brush: Wiborg 26mm Manchurian
    Bowl: Dirty Bird Travel Scuttle
    Pre Shave Scrub: RazoRock GLO
Pre Shave Oil: Homemade Lemon Lime Chill
Shave Soap: Lemon-Lime Freeze (Cryogen as base)
    Post: Monster Alum Block
Aftershave: Alvarez Gomez Agua De Colonia

The Cryogen crop came in this afternoon, and they were not kidding that this is soft soap. They advertised it as a crop, but mine is more like a cream which actually worked out better as it was easier to mix in the EO's that I wanted. Now I see why they decided to forgo adding a fragrance as it took a boatload of 5 fold Lemon, Lime and a touch of Valencia Orange to override the menthol blast in their Cryogen. Giving the soap a test run but possible I might be adding in some additional EO's to this. Only used half the jar and will come up with another blend after some thought. Going to make tomorrow a Lemon themed day starting out with a bar of homemade lemon zest soap courtesy of @Hodge and finish up with Agua De Colonia

Pre: Proraso - Green Tea & Oat
    Razor: Parker HD TTO
    Brush: Nasty little Omega badger
    Soap: D.R. Harris - Arlington
Post: The Musco brothers (ASB, ASL)

This was the last shave with my Parker heavy duty TTO. I am going to give it away in a PIF soon. It's a decent razor but I have decided that for TTOs, I will only keep the vintage ones which I have had restored. The Parker razor is moderately aggressive; maybe just a bit more so than a Red-Tipped Gillette Super Speed. However, I find it a somewhat less forgiving than the Red-Tip. With light pressure and good control of the blade angle, this razor can easily deliver the BBS goods.
Now as for the brush... grrrrrr!! :angry019: This brush sucks. Love the handle (that's why I bought it), hate the "bristles". I am certain this brush was trimmed to shape with scissors. For a brush that retails for about US $45.00, this is inexcusable. Currently I am experimenting with various ways of getting the clipped hairs to develop split ends. If I am not successful, you will see this brush coming to a PIF near you. Might be good for one of you guys out there who has leather-like skin or a complete lack of nerve endings on your face. If I get rid of this brush, I might get the same one but with the "HI-BRUSH" synthetic bristles instead.

    Cheers, Lyndon

    Terrific Tabacstag!
Yesterday's shave felt rougher by the end of the day, so I went to an old friend. Tabac never fails me, and the New LC is very efficient and forgiving. I made überlather with Tabac cream and soap over a base of Mickey Lee preshave butter. The result is a very smooth and happy face and neck. Cologne Russe finished it up right.

Oh baby - what a super-duper shave I had just now with the Glacial Lemon Chill soap. It's from one of Rod's older batches but it lathers so EASILY, not to mention the menthol freeze it gives. The skincare this soap gives is perfect - it left my face feeling not only frozen, but also so smooth and very, very comfortable. The Penguin gave me a ton of extra menthol goodness.

Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion
    Lather: Dusy Kabinett
    Brush: TGN Finest badger
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Rapira Lux (3)
Post: Captain's Choice Cat O'Nine Tails

2 pass shave. Bowl lathered with the fan shaped TGN finest and it did fine. I do believe I have to work a little harder with badgers and soaps compared to creams, but the lather was good for today's shave.

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash, sandalwood bar soap

    [B)Soap/cream- Figaro shaving soap[/B]

Brush- Whipped Dog 24 mm Silvertip

Razor- Weber polished head all stainless steel

    Blade- Astra SP(2)

Post- Cold water rinse, Homemade aftershave lotion, Lucky Tiger bay rum lotion and Nivea sensitive aftershave balm with 1 drop of M-Bomb

Hmm… Tiki gave me irritation but no redness, figaro gave me redness but no irritation. But made my skin feel a little raw to the touch…. whats going on.

I believe the soap maker that makes Figaro also makes razorock soaps, and Razorock classic also gave me irritation, I see a pattern there, wiry annoying because these are GOOD soaps!

just an okey shave, disappointing =/ After the first pass I chose to continue the shave with my mix of Cyril R salter wild rose and TOBS ST jermyn street. This mix was planned to be a Sandalwood/rose scent, but I reached for the wrong tub and I didn’t realize before someone pointed it out to me hahaha. But it was a pretty nice blend.

Yesterday's shave with TOBS Almond was disappointing because I was left with irritation. I solved that today by using MDC unscented with the TOBS Almond. The result was a great lather in terms of scent, slickness and cushioning. I don't add glycerin when using MDC because I have found there to be no need.

I usually do 3 passes and only go with a fourth pass if the first three are perfect with no cuts, weepers or irritation. Today was such a day and I took a very light WTG fourth pass. This eliminated virtually every missed whisker on my face for a delightful BBS finish.
