image.jpg Razor: Dubl Duck Special #1 1947-52 (rescaled)
Gillette Ball End Tech NDC (declared 1947) Birth Year
Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: Castle Forbes cedarwood & sandalwood cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice

Day 4 with the Dubl Duck. Lathered up the Castle with the Silvertip. Spent extra time hydrating my beard, so I could try to get closer with the Duck. Started like my last shave going from my sideburn to my jaw line on my right side, and my left side with my left hand. That went so well I did my neck on my left side. Looking good, so left hand right hand going easy trying to figure out the best approach. Getting better and a little closer. Not pushing my luck I stopped there and finished with my Tech, and only needed 1 pass. Still working all the angles, but getting better. The videos are helping me get the angles better. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some vintage OS. Y'all have a good one.

soap - Caties le Piment De le Vie - this is my favorite soap. I have a ton of soaps including some very expensive French soaps and this $20 soap blows them away

    Flea market find.
    Hardware store razor (1960's ?)
    Buerger Brothers, Denver Colorado
    "The Smile"
    (made in Germany)
    4/8 Extra Hollow
Had a small chip or two, and a bit of rust. Went back to the 1K to clean up,
and it honed out very well indeed. A very smooth DFS with only 1 little nick. (which for me is very lucky)
Omega 10104 boar brush, (my new favorite) and a really thick & smooth Stirling Barber Shop lather.
It's been a really good morning!

    today I used;
wade& butcher 5/8 hollow with the squared end.
it was touched up on apache strata. stropped to sharp on a drygulch custom strop.
that squared end isn't the pointy-est, but I managed to goudge myself a couple of times with it. three passes for a very close shave except on my right side below my ear, I forgot how to hold the razor for that half pass, although I've done it dozens of times now? go figure, brain fart while trying to concentrate.
