I wish Barbasol released a shave soap. I love the smell of it. Anybody know of a similar smelling soap that's on the market?

I've never tried it, but they offer a crème.
I found this on their web site.

There are several artisan soap makers around,
and I know JoAnna (@Queen of Blades ) makes all kinds of creams and soaps with fantastic scents.
You might PM her and tell her what you are looking for, she might be able to fix you up right away.

I used Barbasol almost exclusively. I agree about the scent. While not a spot on match, Stirling ( @ezlovan ) Barbershop has a canned shaving cream smell to me. It isn't the regular "barbasol scent" but it is in the same family. I'd say it is similar but certainly not the same. It may be worth you checking into.

Also, @Queen of Blades makes really nice shaving soap!! I agree that she could come up with something for you and maybe even get the scent to a closer match. I have a few of her soaps and creams, and I must say that my lather is tit for tat with Stirling Soaps. Both soap makers seem like really good folks, and I've gotten great customer service from both of them.

:signs011: There's a reason it was originally called Barbersoul.

I believe there was a rumor, or perhaps a truth, that PAA named it CaD due to a "Cease and Desist" letter from the legal department of a large conglomerate known for making shaving and skin care products.......

Of course the CaD is sold out...

No rumor..that is the actual reason it's named CaD.

That's not true. Both the small tin and large tins are in stock right from his website here...

my only problem with Barbasol is the ingredient list. since I started wet shaving I tend to look for more natural products or stuff with added moisturizers. I see no reason for a company to put harsh chemicals in a product for what seems like no reason. I do give them credit for making shaving cream in a tube for the people that are sick of all the waste with metal cans and propellants.
