    Smooth Wednesday
Great shave today. Ferox is an excellent soap, which The Colonel whipped into yogurty goodness in no time. Der vorschlaghammer easily and cleanly removed my stubble. Cologne Russe wrapped it up right.

    Soap: B&M Ferox
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: Der vorschlaghammer

There ain't nothin' like a bone-chillin' cold shave with a Stirling Glacial soap - the Lemon Chill should be called Lemon Freeze or Lemon Frigid because that's how cold it is! :D BBS again with no real issues.

Omelmad My printer email address is..........

I have my MdC and i have used both my WD silvertip and a Plisson. I get enough lather for 3 passes easy and i definitely dont use 3 grams of soap per shave. Thats why that felt like a lot

    Lather: TSD Wheat cream
    Brush: Omega 6214 silvertip
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Rapira Lux (2)

2 passes. I've had a difficult time getting a slick lather with this soap and the badger brush. I might pull out a synthetic or horse tomorrow and see if I can make it a little slicker.

F.W. Engels, 11/16 Full Hollow, Spike Point

I have always liked spike points in straight razors: they always provide a super precise performance, they are unbeatable in certain spots of your face. It is also true they are less forgiving than other point styles, but their precision is the very best. It is the type of point no one would suggest to a newbie, I however admit - when I started using straight razors about 16 years ago - the second straight razor I bought had a spike point. Since then, I added to my collection other razors having a spike point and this lovely Engels is just one of the many.

Great morning today! Temps are slowly creeping back up to normal Spring weather after taking a frigid dip down to the 30s yesterday morning! I swear Michigan is deliberately trying to get me sick LOL I had to dig out my Winter jacket and sweats to walk Chico. He wasn’t thrilled either. I actually had to turn my heat back on. Smh..

Good shave today. Picked the Cold River soap. I like the scent of this soap. Plus it’s a normally decent performer. I think I should have bloomed it a bit more as I had a bit of issue working up a lather this morning. This is one of my soap that sits out in the open uncovered. I haven’t had previous issues with it, so I’m chalking this morning up to user error. I’ll admit to being somewhat distracted.

3rd and final shave on the Ninja blade. It was noticeably less sharp and not as smooth. Definitely a “3 and out” blade for me. Still achieved an overall DFS. Near BBS on the dome and face, and decently smooth on my neck. Couple of small nicks. Again user error.

Anyone going to the get together at Maggard Razors this Saturday? I am planing on attending. It would be awesome to meet some of you! Have a smooth day! ;) That Shave Life!

    5/12/15 - Wednesday Shave.

This razor shaved better than the Shovelhead. More give in the handle. Felt different than the 1912 account the straight edge instead of the curve like the 1912. Over all great razor.
Last day for the blade. Kind of felt rough on the ATG pass.

    Castle Forbes Lime
    Plisson Synthetic

I am using a scale, so I believe my usage is accurate, albeit a lot. (The amount matters little to me as I have enough soap to last me many years). ;)
