Here's a great set-up to start a new week on a frigid note! Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Derby day 3 Stirling Glacial Lavender SS Stirling Glacial Wintergreen AS Balm Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Chabrawichi 555 Cologne BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-COLD and beautiful is the most accurate description of the shave I'm going to be getting. The Glacial Lavender soap is absolutely wonderful. Its scent is so nice, its lather explodes off my brush in seconds, and its menthol power pulverizes my face so hard, with the second pass feeling almost painfully-cold. The Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel have such an awesome way of not only adding tons of extra freeze, but also soothing and moisturizing my skin. I'm loving the Derby blade!
Monday's Dove Men Face Wash ARKO Extra Performance Jayaruh WC1 Silvertip Badger Schick J-2 Personna Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Barbasol The ARKO Extra Performance Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes with my Schick J-2 razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Barbasol Brisk after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
18 May Planned Shave I will be working down the last of the Mentholated Vintage Williams so that I can start with a new batch.
I went back to my favorite razor today. Here is todays line up. Merkur 25c Super max stainless steel blue blade (2) Arko shave stick Omega 10049 boar brush Alum block Jeris musk aftershvae cologne I had a great shave. This was my first time using the alum. Not sure it added much to experience but I'll give it a go a few more times before deciding. I picked up the alum for $1.99 at an Indian- Pakistani store. I hope the rest of my week is as great as todays shave.

Menthol Monday Reef Point Tranquility is a very nice combination of peppermint and lavender. Lightly cooling and relaxing. It lathers like other RP soaps, meaning very easily and well. Krampert's Frostbite is an excellent compliment and very much appreciated on a muggy morning like today. Der vorschlaghammer did its job efficiently and comfortably. Prep: Mickey Lee Lime Soap: Reef Point Tranquility Brush: HIS XL Razor: Der vorschlaghammer Blade: voskhod AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite
Thanks to my Super Speed/Derby combination as well as my Glacial Lavender soap I got a 20 below zero-feeling BBS shave which felt so wonderful. The Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel added so much extra menthol freeze that I think it'll take all day for my face to thaw out!

5/18/15 - Canadian Tech Picked this Heavy Tech up a while back. Has the 1932 under the base plate. It's in almost perfect condition! It shaves close to the Pre-War USA Tech. This cream is in my top 3 favorites. The PolSilver's, for me, are just as smooth as the Silver Blues but sharper. A great blade.
