FrostByte + Frostbite This was a close shave, but with weepers on my neck. I tried 4 there and payed for it. This was due to my technique. On my face I used 8/5/3 and that seems to have worked well. FrostByte provided good lather, but I think it has been surpassed for me by tallow soaps. Frostbite finished it off right and cooled off the irritation on my neck near the weepers. Tried out this new to me razor. It's an Ever Ready 1912 made in the 1930s. It's in pretty good condition and gave an amazing close shave. It feels great in the hand, a lot heavier than I imagined. Looking forward to using it over the next few days and improve my technique with it. Today isn't a memorial day over here, but seeing all your comments does make me think of the brave people who gave their lives so we can live ours. LPL. Easy to produce lather. I give the quality scents (I especially like the Rose de Pushkar and today's Vétiver Bourbon) an A+. I give the Cushion a B, Slickness a C (it's weakest attribute IMO) and Post shave an A-. Recommended with minimal reservations.
5/8 Spear TOBS Lavender SS homemade synthetic, Omega Hi knot Excellent shave this morning. I had to attend a graduation yesterday with 5 seniors in the class so it was late last night before I got into the shop and completed the brush. I drilled a 26mm hole and set the loft at 52mm, originally factory set at 60mm. Nice performing brush. I'm expecting another synthetic brush (knot) in the mail. Have a good one.

My dad was 101st Airborne and dropped in from time to time all over Europe in WWII. Thinking of him on days like today I remember watching him with fascination as he went through his daily ritual. So in his memory, and for all of our band of brothers, I salute your sacrifices. God bless you all, and thanks Dad! Nice shave today, and my Dad loved grapefruit.

Memorial Day Shave I can't stress enough what an AMAZING razor this is. My two passes with it felt smooth (on the aggressive side) and left me with a 100% clean shaven face. Truly impressed and this will, based on just today's shave, end up near the top of of my ranked razors. Excellent, excellent razor! Razor: 1944 UK WWII issued OC razor. Motivation Monday It's been a while since I've used the Ikon 102, but I was instantly reminded of how smooth this razor performs. I went with Motivation from Soap Commander, and whipped up a nice bowl lather with the boar brush. This is another one of those unisex scents. The cucumber and bamboo remind me of something you would find at a Bath and Body Works. Overall a nice shave, but I think this soap is going into SWMBO's corner. Happy Memorial Day
Nice Shot Celestino. It looks very tranquil. Did you have to get in the water for this one? Well done. It makes me want to get out and try more outdoor photos.
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Rituals Samurai Bamboo and Wakame foaming face wash Soap/cream- Martin de Candre Brush- Plisson synthetic Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel Blade- Astra SP Post- Cold water rinse, alum, Pinaud clubman vanilla classic aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm I should have used my merkur37c instead, alum block gave me a lot of feedback today. I'm gonna try aftershave without menthol to see if that redness comes back. I regret picking up the weber today. I got close but it's not an irritation free shave.... I have a big day tomorrow at PWC. It's an Audit practice day, to learn more about the auditors role. I hope I don't get bumps, I need to look sharp!
