Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
    Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Napa Soap Black Fiber
    Lather: Shaver Heaven Neroli
    Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH.
    Aftershave: Fine American Blend
If I'm being honest I'm not a big fan of Shaver Heaven. It's not slick enough for my liking. But please give Shaver Heaven a try. I really like this Napa Black Fiber brush! The SC101 never fails me.
A better tomorrow. Takes your best today!

Feeling much better this morning. Fantastic near BBS 3 pass shave with some touch ups. I had forgotten how nice Catie's Bubbles is to use, easy to lather and super slick. The Sandalwood scent paired great with the CC Sandalwood AS. Hope everyone has a great day.

    Return of der vorschlaghammer
Another solid shave courtesy of der vorschlaghammer. The Colonel whipped CBLMR into yogurt in no time. Three passes to smooth comfort. The MLB is a nice scent match, the only thing I might add to it is a little menthol.
    Prep: Shea Moisture scrub
    Soap: Catie's Bubbles LMR
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: der vorschlaghammer

My first posting on shave of the day.

Today I tried out my new Parker 99R DE razor and my new brush. Both worked like a charm! I will eventually get around to taking pics. I notice many of you who post on this forum are expert photographers! You have set the bar high for us newbies.

Prep: Hot facecloth followed by my homemade pre-shave oil
    Soap: Nivea Original
    Razor: Parker 99R
    Blade: Sharpe
Brush: Parker 100% Pure Badger Bristle Shaving Brush
Aftershave: Hot facecloth followed by Witch Hazel

    post: Afta balm, Fresh

Flakiness and stupidity all but ruined today's shave. I somehow skipped the PSO. I realized my omission at about 75% lathered and literally paused for about three seconds. It was during that moment of idiocy that I decided to forego the PSO. :angry032: <sigh> Don't get me wrong... I still chased the baby down. I just didn't enjoy it at all. It has soured my morning. I think I'll drink some Tension Tamer tea or something to see if I can recalibrate the day.

I had hoped to start dialing in my Schick adjustable today. I've only shaved with it on 3 so started it at 5. A little before the end of the first pass I decided that 5 felt a little toothy so backed it to 3.75. It was better, but I can't draw any conclusion from a PSO-less shave. Sheesh! :angry019:

After two passes and more touchups than usual, I was BBS but feeling that not-quite-burn tightness. That calls for a protective coating for the finish. I find the polymers in the Afta balm get the job done pretty well. I'm thankful for that.

Man, I hope you guys don't run into such an emotionally unsatisfying shave! I feel pouty and am thinking about retreating to my EJ tomorrow.

OK. I'm gonna just shake it off like Taylor Swift (wait, that's "up," isn't it?). Where's my tea?:eatdrink013:

Incredible face lather today. Everything about it just worked. I really like the Vie-Long horsehair brush. Mine has a pretty short loft so perhaps that is why I've never experienced any tangling or bird nesting. The Weber and Big Ben super stainless did a fine job with 3 passes today.
