View attachment 69680 Hayashi Diamond 1072 half hollow covered tang - purchased from the master Jamie Mahoney - one of my favorties soap - barrister & Mann Lavender - it is an ok soap, nothing special AS - Floid Black Label - one of the best Brush - Franks Shaving 30 mm silvertip - as good as the expensive ones & only $60, I love these brush's another enjoyable shave today

I refreshened my blade first refresh for the factory edge 4-8-12K,chrome ox and stropping much better shave from the Dovo (about time) 5-day beard and the blade was smooth and keen. I sold that exact razor on ebay about a year ago. Kind of wish I still had it. Great looking and it shaved well
I asked a guy at a yard sale, " do you have any safety razors, brushes or mugs?" he said yes I do, wanna see it, hang on a minute I'll get it. he came back with this beautiful straight. I was sorta dumbfounded. I would never associated this gorgeous razor with the sorta rundown area of town I was in. I thought in my head, he must have just got this, and is very happy to show it off. I timidly said do you want to sell it. he said yes but I want 40 bucks for it. I said, well ok. I didn't have the heart to offer him less. so that's how I came across the prettiest straight in my bunch. it feels very light, but handles very nicely. I'm still learning and I sorta handle this one more tenderly than the others, because it's so ornate. thanks for the compliments, I agree, it's a very "sharp" looking blade.

Hayashi Diamond 1000 - honed this one after enay purchase, shaved ok but not up to my expectations so stropped it on cr ox, still not right. Honed it again yesterday Naniwa 5K, Naniwa Snow White 8K, Naniwa 12K, apache strata, BINGO.
